efforts falling short even though
they played a great game.

glimpse of the basket often enough
to file 15 points for the record,
Delores Gillikin, while getting

Polk County 4-H Club
To Raise Quail This Year
COLLECK STATION, Raleigh
Six Polk County 4-H club members
will raise quail as projects during
the coming year, according to
Jones, No. 6. with 6. Quarter scores
were all in Morehead's favor; 81),
12-6. 1810, 28-15.
The boy's game was, as I have
already said, a landslide for the
Morehead boys. The Maysville b-).vs
followed close behind until I ho
last half as you can see from the
quarter scores; 12-6, 27-11, 44 15.
70-23. The last half was definitely
Morehead's ball game with Burge
and Sleed, second string, surpris
ing everyone by playing a wonder
ful game. The total points for each
player was as follows: Berl Lewis
12, Leslie Feagle 12, Buck Mat
Jhews 19, Ray Lewis 5 Bobby Bell
2k Mickey Woolard 2, "Struggle"
Steed 8, Bobby Mathews 1, Mitchell
Burge 9. The points made by Mays
ville were divided between House,
No. 5, with 8, Goodwin, No. 10,
with 7, Alcock, No. 11, with 7, and
Conway, No. 10, with 1.
Tuesday's game with Camp Le
jeunc, there, will be, in the opinion
of our coach and also the players,
one of the toughest if not the
toughest game of our basketball
season. In other words, it's to be
anybody's ball game, (anybody be
ing the team that goes nut and
fights for a score) so, in the words
of our cheerleaders, "Let's Go,
Morchead" and "F-i-g-h-t!"
