Beaniori-Morehead Road Pul on 49-Mile Speed Liaul A 40-mile-an-hour speed limit is now in effect on the causeway be tween Beaufort and Morehcad City. According to a report from the county state highway patrol office, residents along the catiseway com plained about the high rate of speed at which vehicles traveled. Investigations were made by the state highway engineers and in co operation with the county highway patrol unit, they decided to place the speed limit at 40. This went into effect Wednesday, Jan. 4. New highway signs are posted along the highway from the More head bridge to the Beaufort draw bridge.
