Roba Lee Kings Honored At Reception By Baptists The Missionary Society of the First Baptist church entertained at a reception and going away party Monday evening at the home ?f Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Beam to honor Mr. and Mrs. Roba Lee King who will leave this Saturday for Richmond. Va., whesje he will study for the ministry. Mr. King has been superintend ent of the Baptist Sunday school for the past four months, and all members of the church and Sun day school were invited to the party. Guests were greeted at the door by Mrs. Beam and introduced to the receiving line by Mrs. George Laughton, president of the Miss ionary society. The Rev. and Mrs. Winfrey Dav is. Eastmans to Attend Show Of Furniture, High Point Mr. and Mrs. George Eastman of the Eastman Furniture com. pany today announced plans to attend the Southern Furniture and Rug Market at High Point, for the purpose of examining the new styles in furniture and buying from manufacturers merchandise that will be sold at Eastman's Beaufort and Morehead City stores this spring. Over 300 manufacturers and wholesalers will display their wares at the High Point exposit ion. which is one of the largest furniture markets in the United States. Special showings are held each January and July. The East mar^s will leave Sunday. Mr. Mason served in the Coast Guard and later was engaged in fishing. The Mason's have five children Lovie, wife of Daily M. Lizzie Chadwick Circle Welcomes Mrs. Chipman Mrs. W. A. Chipman of Pivers Island was welcomed as a new member Monday evening when the Lizzie Chadwick circle of Ann St. Methodist church met with Mrs. Robert Safrit. Mrs. Calvin Jones presided over the meeting, Mrs. W. L. Woodard gave the devotional which was from The Upper Room, and Mrs. T. R. Jenkins gave the program on Japan. Whit* have announced the marriage of their daughter, Dorothy Ellen, to Carl M. Sadler, son of Mr and Mrs. Thomas Sadler of Beaufort, on Saturday, January 14, at Conway, S.
