A ItKSOI.lTTlON BY THE CAR- 1
tRKRT COUNTY BOARD
OF ELECTIONS
Whereas: It has pleased Al- !
mighty God to call home from his
labors the Honorable Thomas C.
Wade, who for more than tenj
years has served as a Member of
the Carteret County Board of
Elections and whereas
We the surviving members of
this Board have had an opportuni
ty to review his service on this
Board and we have found that at
aJI times his every act and his
attitude was toward the strict ob
servance by this Board and by the
Precinct Boards, of the laws
which assure to every citizen the
right to vote and to have the vote
fairly counted and certified. 1
The life of this man and the
lives of other men of like faith,
will continue to assure to the Citi
zens of our Nation, our State and
our County the preservation of
their liberties. We believe that
Democracy will never fail with
faithful watchers of the Ballot
Now therefore we the surviving
members of the Carteret County
Board of Elections at this our
first meeting since his passing
have
Resolved, that in the passing of
the Hon. Thomas C. Wade we have
lost a piember whose affection
and respect we have deeply prized
and whose advice and counsel we
have been glad to havy and to fol
low.
Resolved that we extend to his
wife and family our sympathy at
the passing of the head of their
household commending them to
the Comforter who will give to
them understanding and peace.
Resolved that a copy of these
resolutions be delivered to his
family, that they be spread upon
the Minute book of this Board and
that they be published in the Car
teret County News-Times for thir
ty days.
Adopted this 1st day of March,
1950.

of Elections.
