Price who will leave soon for Ten

The guests enjoyed a supper of
hamburgers cooked over charcoal,
potato salad, pickles, cole slaw, po
tato chips, soft drinks, and later
in the evening, iced cold watermel
on.

Funeral services for Mrs. Celia
Johnson Williams, 93, who died
Monday morning at tho home of
her daughter, Mrs. R. Hugh Hill, of
1201 Front St., Beaufort, will be
held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at
Ann Street Methodist church. In
terment will be in St. Paul's Epis
copal cemetery.
Mrs. Williams, widow of the late
David Williams of Beaufort, is sur
vived by her daughter, Mrs. Hill,
four grandchildren and one great
grandchild.

Funeral services for W. J. (Jim)
Salter, 71, of Atlantic, who died
suddenly Sunday at the home of
his sister in. Durham, will be held
from the Missionary Baptist
church. Atlantic, at 1 o'clock this
afternoon, with the Rev. L. C.
Chandler, assisted by the Rev. R.
C. Goodchild, officiating. Burial
will be in the community cemetery.
Surviving Mr. Salter are two
brothers, Ernest of Atlantic, Albert
of Bayboro. three sisters, Mrs.
Mack Campbell, Mrs. Luther Tripp
of Durham. Mrs. Marvin Bird of
Troy, his stepmother, Mrs. Sophro
nie Salter of Atlantic and seven
nieces.

Funeral services for Stephen E.
Dudley, 71, who died at his home
in Newport Sunday night were held
from the home at 10 o'clock yes
terday morning, with the Rev. W.
E. Anderson officiating. Burial was
in the family plot at Pelletier.
Surviving Mr. Dudley are his
wife, Ora Rue Dudley, three sons,
McCoy, and Leroy, both of Route
2, Newport. Edward J. of Raleigh,
one daughter, Mrs. Cecil T. Lewis
of Newport, three sisters, Mrs.
Laura Atkinson, Mrs. J. W. Chap
pell of Norfolk, Mrs. Fenner Cook
of PoUockavllle and three grand
children.

Mrs. Ida McCullen, 80. died at
Morehead City hospital Sunday
night.
Mrs. licCullen was the widow of
Benjamin Franklin McCullen, who
formerly owned and edjted the
Coaster in Morehead City. Mr. Mc
Cullen died in 1912, and Mrs. Mc
Cullen operated the newspaper un
til it burned down a year later.
Funeral plans had not been com
pleted yesterday afternoon.
Surviving la a son, Herbert, of
Norfolk.
