Mr. and Mrs. Pete Morson and daughter of Leaksville-Spray, are spending a week at the Collins cot tage on Atlantic Beach. Mr and Mrs. L. B. Mr. Perry Taylor, who has been a patient at the Mo re head City hos pital, is now recuperating at his home on Shacklcford avenue. The policy concerning the election ot county officers was dis cussed. In observance of F.II.A. Week. November 12 18, it was ask ed that all chapters attend some church service. Plans were made for a dance to be held in the More head City high school gymnasium on November 17. Beaufort members and their ad visors served soil drinks and cook ies during a social hour. American Home Members Conduct Firsi Fall Meeting The American Home department of the Woman's Club of Morehead City met for their first fall session Wednesday afternoon at the civic ! center. During the business session, Miss Carolyn Knight. Tide Water rep resentative from New Bern.* spoke 1 briefly on the cooking class that 1 will be held Wednesday after noon, Nov. 8, in the Morehead City high school auditorium. Mrs. E. A. Council told the mem bers of the district federation Woman's club meeting that took place recently in Trenton. Piograms for the year were dis tributed by Mrs. O. H. Johnson. Mrs. L A. Daniels proposed that I lie club pay for a child's lunch at the school during this year. The motion was passed with the secretary requested to send a check to Mrs. J. G. Bennett at the school. High score prize, a candy dish, went to Mrs. Wade Bell, Mrs. Richard Ryan won second high, refrigerator dish covers, and for guest prize, Mrs. Landson received a China figurine. The club presented gifts to Mrs. j I. E. Jorgensen, club member who is moving because of her hus band's tranferral from the Marine Corps Air base at Cherry Point. She received a box of note paper from her hostess. Refreshments of pineapple cake and soft drinks were served at the end of bridge play. Couple's Club Entertained By Edward Faucette's Members of the Couples Club ind one guest, Mr. Truman Kemp, were entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Faucette Sat urday evening. Winner of high score for the men was Mr. Ethan Davis who received a tie rack from his hosts, Mrs. John D. Willis was winner of high score for the ladies and she received a desk memo pad. Mr. Kemp was given an ash tray for guest prize. At the end of play baked apple topped with whipped cream and coffee was served. FODRIE Funeral services for Richard L'ampen Fodrie, 68, who died of a heart attack at his home Friday evening were held from his home it 403 N. 8th st., Morehead City, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Dr. John H. Bunn and the Kev. K. r Willis, jr., officiating. Burial followed in Bay View cemetery. Mr. Fodrie, who formerly oper ated a grocery store at 7th and Fisher St., Morehead City, is sur vived by a son, William F., and a daughter. Mrs. Cecil Sewell, both of Morehead City.
