FHA Members Attend Tree-Trimming Parfy For their December meeting the members of the Morehead City chapter of the Future Homemakers of America held a tree trimming party with a buffet supper Thurs day evening in the home economics rooms. The rooms were decorated with Christmas greens and red candles. Supper, consisting of baked ham sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans and assorted beverages were served from a table centered with a decoration of red and green foil ami Santa Claus and his reindeer. After trimming the tree, being led in two contests by Helen Wil lis. and singing Christmas carols, apple pie a la mode was served for dessert. Hostesses for the party were Bobbie Ann Lee, Violetta Willis. Myrtle Midgett, Ginger Midgett, Nettie Morse and Tanya Lindsay. *The Morehead City chapter is helping dress some of the dolls firemen are distributing for Christ mas. First Christian Church To Give Christmas Program The First Christian church of Morehead City, 2211 Bridges st., will present a Christmas program Thursday night at 7:30. The primary and junior depart ments will give recitations and songs after which a pageant, "The Story Ever New," will be present ed by the intermediate and senior departments. Santa Claus will appear after the program and gifts from under the tree will be distributed. Mrs. Gordon Day Entertains Club, Five Guests Thursday Mrs. Gordon Day entertained at three tables of bridge Thursday evening with Mrs. Percy Deyo, Mrs. Gerald Wade, Mrs. Betty Tarpey, Mrs. John Phillips and Mrs. Leland Day as special guests. Guest high was won by Mrs. Wade who received a box of Christ mas ribbons, club high went to Mrs. Dan Swindell and she receiv ed a plastic table cover, and for low score Mrs. Tarpey was consoled with a dust pan. During play the hostess served salted nuts and at the end of play, a plate supper with Russian tea. Fortnightly Bridge Club Meets With Mrs. Ferebee The Fortnightly Bridge club met Friday evening at the home of Mrs Alan Ferebee who had as special guests Mrs. C. R. Davant and Mrs. M. A. Walker of Carteret Lodge. High score for club members was won by Mrs. Eugene Roelofs and for the guests. Mrs. Davant. Mrs. Paul Webb had low score. Following progressions Mrs. Fer ebee served coffee cake, coffee, stuffed dates and candy. Mrs. Gib Farrior will be hostess to the club this week when they will have their Christmas party, i Morehead Oily Hospital Will Hold Open House The Morehead City hoapital will be host to the public at open house tomorrow night from 8 to 10 o' clock. The hospital staff and per sonnel extends a cordial invitation to everyone. Christmas open house at the hos pital is an annual affair.
