Mrs. Roy Hamilton Honors Mrs. Maxine Guthrie Davis Mrs. Maxine Guthrie Davis, who is to be married June 17 to O. J. Morrow, was honored at a buffet dinner party Wednesday, June 4, given by Mrs. Roy Hamilton of Beaufort. Fifteen couples were present. A table was decorated with a miniature bridal party dressed in the color scheme of Mrs. Davis' wedding, blue and yellow. The table was laden with gardenias and lighted tapers in the background. The house was decorated with blue and white hydrangeas and gardenias. Mrs. Davis was given a pink carnation corsage by the hostage. The dinner consisted of baked ham, string beans, yams, hot rolls and relishes. Blue cake with yel low ice cream and iced tea were served. After dinner pictures were taken of each couple. The women dressed in bridal veils and carried flowers for the pictures. Mrs. Ann Willis Jones, John Gillikin Wed Saturday Mrs. Ann Willis Jones, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Willis and Mr. John Gillikin. formerly of Beaufort, now of Havelock, were united in marriage Saturday after noon at 1 o'clock in the Free Will Baptist church. The Rev. T. C. Smith officiated in the double ring ceremony. The ceremony was performed before an altar banked with white gladioli. Miss Mary Emma Kirk man, organist, presented a program of nuptial music before the cere mony. The bride, who entered the church with her only attendant. Mrs. R. G. Willis, was attired in a light blue nylon dress with white accessories. She had a corsage of red roses. Mrs. Willis was dressed in a silk print and had white car nations. Best man for the groom was Wil liam Thomas of Beaufort. The couple left immediately following the ceremony for a two-week trip to the western part of the state. Upon their return they will be at home in Havelock. The bride, who is a graduate of the Morehead City high school and commercial course, has been em ployed in the public works depart ment at Cherry Point for 10 years. The groom, a veteran of the Air Force in world war II, is also em ployed at Cherry Point. The pair were entertained at a cake cutting Friday night at the home of Mrs. Charles Conway, sis ter of the bride.
