Using the electric range and electric refrigerator you can prepare many delicious desserts, sauces, salads, candies, cookies and frozen desserts with marshmallows as the basic in gredient. Marshmallow fruit Pyramids (Makes 8 servings) One No. 2 can sliced pineapple, one No. 2H can peach halves, 12 marshmallows. Drain pineapple and peaches separately. Reserve 2/3 cup peach sirup for this recipe. Use remain ing fruit sirup for beverages, etc. In large shallow baking dish, ar range eight slices of pineapple. Top with peach halves, hollow sides up. PJacp one or two marshmallows in center of each peach half. Pour 2/3 cup pcach sirup into baking dish. Bake in moderate oven (375) 10 minutes, basting occasionally. Serve hot. Choco Mint Marshmallow Sauce (Makes 2/3 cup sauce) Two IV* ounce chocolate covered mint patties, 16 marshmallows, V* cup water, dash of salt. Dice mint patties. In a sauce- ! pan. combine mint patties, whole ' marshmallows. water and salt. Cook j over low heat. ;>tirring constantly, t until marshmallows are melied. I Let mixture boil gently three min- j utes. Serve hot or warm over ice cream, cake or custard. Foolproof Fudge (Makes about 2% pounds) 32 marshmallows. M cup wat*r, 2 I'm cups sugar, ?? lb. butter, one 6 ounce can evaporated milk, *4 teaspoon salt, one and % 6 ounce packages of semi-sweet chocolate bits. In top of double boiler, combine marshmallows and water; cook over boiling water until marshmallows are melted, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile in a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk and salt; mix thoroughly. Bring to roll ing boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue boiling for eight minutes, stirring constantly to prevent mixture from sticking to bottom of pan. Remove from heat and stir in melted marshmal lows and chocolate bits. Mix until thoroughly blended and the choco late bits are melted. Pour into but tered 8 by 12 inch pan. Cool thoroughly and cut into squares. Banned Films Paris (AP)?
