Swansboro, was charged with improper passing, causing an accident, as the result of a collision at noon Friday in front of Joe Taylor's store, Bogue. State Highway Patrolman W. J. Smith said that Riggs, driving a 1951 Plymouth, attempted to pass a truck driven by Benjamin F. Scar boro Jr., Hookerton. Both vehicles were proceeding east on highway 24 when Riggs tried to pass Scarboro as Scarboro was making a left turn into Tay lor's stj>re. Scarboro said Riggs did not sound his horn. Damage to the truck was esti mate* at $10 and damage to the Plymouth $50. No one was hurt.
