INC. ? of MOREHEAD CITY Jr. Woman's Club Buyfc Symphony Membership The Wsufort Junior Woman's Clttb voted Monday night to take a OS membership in the North C?r olina Little Symphony tor nest year, and to hold meetings all through the year instead <4 just the fall, winter and spring as they have been dotal in the paat. The club voted not to sponsor the Beaufort sdirther recitation pro gram as they have done for the past three years, because they are working on a town playground. They decided, however, to donate money to the program. Equipment for the playground lias been ordered and the club is hoping to have a formal opening and public picnic in the near fu ture. Mayor and Mrs. C. T. Lewis have offered a vacant lot -on Pollock street to the club as an auxiliary playground and the club will erect basketball goals there for children to play basketball. A report was given on the cloth ing closet which is open Tuesday j and Friday mornings, when mem bers of the club are in Charge of it. Hill of Marsh | allberg, and Mr. Ikie Willis, son of Mrs. Addie Willis of Harkers Island, were married Saturday. April 3, at 7:30 in the evening in the Marshallberg Methodist Church in the presence of members of the immediate family. The Rev. H. H. Cash .pastor of the church, performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with baskets of white gladiolas and candelabra. Ernest Hill, brother of the bride, lit the candles, and Miss Annie Moore Finer, organist, gave a pro gram of nutial music before the ceremony. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a light blue wool suit with navy ac :essories and a white orchid cor sage. Her only ornament was a string of pearls, a gift from the bridegroom. Mrs. Elbert Lee Davis of Harkers Island was matron of honor and the bride's only attendant. She #ore a navy blue suit with pink accessories and a corsage of pink roses. Elbert I^e Davis was best man for Mr Willis. Immediately following the wed ding ceremony, Mr. and Mr* Hill entertained at a reception at their home to honor the bridal couple. Following a wedding trip to Charleston, S. C., the couple will make their home at Havelock. The bride is a graduate of Smyr na High School and was formerly with the county welfare depart ment. She is now employed at Cherry Point. The bridegroom is a graduate of Harkers Island High School and has served with the Army. He is em ployed at Cherry Point also. Goldenrod eggs are easy to pre pare and small fry love this dish.
