Two Morehead City Girls Staters Elected to Government Offices Mia Lynne Richardson, daugh tor <4 Mr. and Mr* Maurice Rich ardsop, was elected chairman of the Federalist Party at Girls State thia week at Woman'! College, Greensboro Mm Anne Thomas Lewis, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Lewis of this city, was elected one of the associate justices. The fifteenth annual Tar Heel Girls' State session ends today. The 271 girls attending the ses sion visited briefly at Duke Uni versity yesterday on their way to Raleigh. At the capitol Secretary of State Thad Eure spoke to the girls on legislative procedure. While there Miss Mary Louise Froebe of Charlotte, who was elect ed governor, took over for awhile the chair of Governor William B. Umstead The girl* lunched at State Col District Norses Hold Meeting Here Tuesday District 21 of the North Carolina Stat* Nurses Asosciation met Tues day night at the Sanitary Restau rant for the last meeting until the fall. It was decided that a full slate of officers for next year will be selected from Carteret Coun ty. and will be installed at the September meeting The speaker for the evening was a Navy nurse from Cherry Point. The September meeting will be Jield at the Rex Restaurant on high way 24 outside of Jacksonville. Twenty-six nurses from this district were present Tuesday. County Bridge League Meets for Spring Party Twelve tables were in play Mon day evening when the Carteret County Bridge League held its Spring party and supper at the Dunes Club. Wesleyan Guild Compiles Church Bulletin Names Mrs. A. L. Brinson. chairman of the Wesleran Service Guild of the First Methodist Church, has an nounced that again this year the guild is compiling a list of names to be printed on a special Father's day church bulletin. These names will be printed in memory of or in honor of fathers and the charge is 50 cents a name. Paul Jones, pastor 3f Glad Tidings Tabernacle, report ?d yesterday that registration for the annual vacation Bible School has been very good. The school opened last week and ends today. Monday attendance was 103 and Tuesday 102. This number in dues children, adults and teachers, graduation exercises will be con ducted Sunday morning at the Sun day School hour, 9:30.
