Taylor and chil dren left Wednesday via Raleigh to visit relatives in Beckley, West Va. Mr. Taylor carried them to Kalelgh. Miss Cherrie Dawn Hard is on of Neuse Forest spent last week here with relatives. Mr. snd Mrs. Carlton Daughtery and daughter, Becky, of near Smithfield visited Mr. and Mrs. Ear) Creech during the weekend. Mrs. W. Kuch Williams and daughter were at Cherry Point Wednesday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Becton and daughter. Ann, visited relatives Hear Goldsboro during the week end. Frances Becton, who has been there on a visit, returned with them. Miss Peggy Bradshaw is visiting an aunt near Kinston. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Byrd of Coates spent Sunday with Mrs. Eugene Willis and family. Mrs. James R Ward, Mrs. Alton Waters. Clifton Taylor and W. Kuch Williams were at Snow Hill Saturday on business. J. Artis Tay lor of Bachelor accompanied them. Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Blair and son, Bill, of Vanceboro, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Howard and son, Coker, of New Bern spent last week at the Clyde Douglas cottage on Clubfoot Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Taylor and June 29 ? Mrs. Balm and chil dren of Chester, Pa., spent last week with her sister, Mrs. H. B. Willis. Elder Williams of Jacksonville filled the appointment of Elder Ed die Humphrey at the Primitive Baptist Church Sunday. Mrs. John Taylor joined the church and was baptised that afternoon. Mrs. Irvin Elkes and children of Norfolk. Va., are spending a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs Maltby Taylor. Clem B. Gaskill, DSN, is home from a cruise to Pakistan and Cey Ion. It was a peace mission for Admiral Wright The Rev. Ray Hemrick of Hal kers Island had dinner with Mr and Mrs. H. B. Willis Saturday Afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Bennett of Washington. D. Bible School Ends The vacation Bible School of the Harlowe Methodist Church, which opened Monday, June 21, had an enrollment of approximately 40 children. The school closed Fri day, June 25. Refreshments were served each day to the faculty and children by different women of the WSCS. The kindergarten department had as their study "The World About Us" and was taught by Mrs. Luke Turner and Mrs. Edith Small. The primary department had as their study "Our Daily Bread" and was taught by Mrs. S. D. Wilker son. Teachers for the junior depart ment were the Rev. Waldrop and the Rev. Ellis Bedsworth, and the study was "Praise Ye the Lord." June 10 ? Mrs. Nannie Jane Pittman cam* borne from OricnUl Saturday where she had stayed nearly two weeks with her daugh ter. Mrs. George Norman. While there she visited relatives and friends We were all glad when she came back as she has been missed. Mr. snd Mrs. Levi Pittman spent Saturday afternoon with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. William Pitt man. Mrs. Luke Lewis spent Friday with Mr. and Mrs. John Wallace. Mrs. Ivey Pittman and baby daughter, Sandra Gale, returned home last Tuesday from the More head City Hospital. They are both getting along nicely. We are all glad Mr. Lem Hardy ii improving slowly. There was a large number present and after the business psrt of the meeting Bobby Aycock from the Bible College in Nashville, Tenn., brought the message and everyone enjoyed it very. much. The mother and sister of the Rev. Wingate Hansley are spending a few days with him. They are from Florida. We are sorry that Mr. Guy Hardy was taken ill and had to be ad mitted to the hospital. We hope he will soon be better. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cox of Clin ton attended services at the church Sunday morning.
