Man Fleet Unhurt After Encounter with Train Shelton, Neb. (AP) ? Engineer John Hillebrendt, peering into the darkness from the cab of his engine, saw a man on the track ahead and then a body flying past. Hillebrendt stopped the train and with the help of some 100 passengers searched futilely for the body for half an hour. t The mystery \*as cleared up the next morning when Marcelino Aguilar told of his scrape with the train. Beaufort Miss Amy Muse Discusses Gardens at Meeting At the meeting of the Garden and Civic Deptartment of the Wo man's Club Wednesday afternoon in the Civic Center, Miss Amy Muse, of Beaufort, was the guest speaker. She chose as her topic, "Gardens," and told of gardens through the ages, beginning with the Garden of Eden. Mrs. E. A. Council, president, presided at the business meeting und Mrs. F. C. Salisbury was elect ed treasurer for the year. At the conclusion of the meet ing refreshments of tea, cake and nuts were served by the hostesses, Mrs. Phillip Ball, Mrs. Percy Beyo, Mrs. J. R. Radio Quiz Program Conducted by Tri-Hi-Y A radio quiz program was the highlight of the Morehead City Tri-Hi-Y meeting Thursday nig^t at the Civic Center. Because there was no winner, the prize, a bag of mixed chewing gum, was distri buted among the members. The president, Polly Guthrie, called the meeting to order. The club song was sung and reports were given by the the chaplain, Marie Durham; the secretary, Verna Rabon, and Anna Willis, treasurer. The program chairman, 'fcenee Kemp, was assisted by Rose Dan iels, Lynne Davis, Catherine Sab iston and Louise White. Six mem bers participated in the quiz. Harry J. Kornprobst, USMC, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Korn probst, of Miami, Fla., in the Franklin Memorial Church Friday evening at 7:30. The Rev. Louie Lewis, pastor of the Atlantic Methodist Church, of ficiated at the double ring cere mony. The bridegroom and his attend ants wore full dress Marine uni forms. Mrs. Ralph T. Wade, soloist, sang "1 Love You Truly," "Be cause" and "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied Mrs. George Mizesko, organist. Rtcorted by her father, the bride wore a gown of white chantllly lace over bridal satin with nylon yoke and tiny lace collar, featur ing a long sleeved fitted bodice and a full skirt which extended in an altar train. Her veil of finger-tip illusion was attached to a cap of satin cov ered with imported lace, edged in flowers, and she carried a Bible covered in satin and topped with French carnations showered with stephanotis and baby ribbon. The matron of honor, Mrs. Charles R. Austin, Beaufort, wore a gown of powder blue ta/feta with an pverskirt of net and mitts and hat' to match. She carried a hand bouquet of red carnations backed in white and tied navy blue ribbon, carrying out the military theme. Miss Stephanie Kornprobst, of Miami, Fla., was maid of honor and wore a gown of blue taffeta with an overskirt of net. She carried a bouquet of red carna tions, backed in white with navy blue ribbons. Bridesmaids Miss Hattie Dee Davis, Miss Carolyn Oglesby and Miss Velma Conway, of Morehead City, wore gowns styled the same as Miss Kornprobst's. Honorary bridesmaids were Miss Peggy Forbes, Miss Jeanine Ro berta, Miss Jerry Hedgecock, Miss Jeanette Merrill, all of Morehead iTt - == [City, Miss Carolyn Guthrie, Mar kers Island, and Miss Janice "Swill son, formerly of Morehcad City, now from Cincinnati, Ohio. They wore navy blue street length dresses and white cartiations. The brother of the bride, Ray mond J. Lewis, was ring bearer, and Hannah Gay Merrill was flower girl. She wore a gown of the same color and style as the maid of honor's. The groom selected as his best man, Sgt. George E. Bianchi, of Phillipsburg. N. J. and his ushers were Cpl. Mrs. Lewis wore a floor length navy blue taffeta dress with match ing accessories. Her corsage was red roses. The mother of the groom wore a light blue street length dress with matching accessories and a corsage of pink roses. ? The bride is a graduate of More head City High School and is em ployed at the Carolina Telephone and Telegraph Co. The groom at tended Miami Jackson High School in Miami, an was employed by Southern Bell Telephone and Tele graph Co. in Miami, before enter ing the Marine Corps. After a trip to the western part of North Carolina, the couple will be at home at 827 Worth West, 115th Street, Miami, Fla. At a reception following the ceremony in the church annex, guests were greeted by Miss Ro berts, and the receiving line was composed of the wedding party. Miss Myrna Hedgecock was in charge of the bride's book, and Miss Jerry Hedgecock was in charge of the gift room. Mrs. Herman Guthrie served the cake and Mrs. Herbert Willis ser ved punch.
