JEANETTE F. WILMS Mrs. Jeanette Fulcher Willis, 70, of Harkers Island died suddenly Thursday evening at her home. Funeral services were held in the Methodist Church, Harkers Island, at 10:30 Saturday morning with the Rev. H. S. Gibat, pastor, and the Rev. Mr. Harris, former pastor, officiating. Burial was in Vergie May Cemetery. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Earl Johnson, and two sons, Ro land and Gordon, all of Harkers Island: one sister, Mrs. George A Rose, Harkers Island, eight grand children and three great grand children. JOSEPH RANKIN LOCKEY Joseph Kankin Lockey, 73, of New Bern, died Thursday morning at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Newport Cemetery, with the Rev. Herbert Waldrop. pastor of the Newport Methodist Church, and the Rev. W. E. Anderson of More head City, officiating. Mr. Lockey, a native of Carteret County, is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Guy Garner. The Rev. Dr. John Kincheloe of 1 ficiated, and music was presented by Mrs. Hackett Applewhite, or ganist, and J. D. Ringold, soloist The bride wore a white satin and ; french illusion gown fashioned with a peplum of handclipped chantilly lace embroidered with | seed pearls. Her two-tiered fin 1 gertip veil of illusion fell from a calot of lace and pearls. She carried a shower bouquet of tuberoses, lilies of the valley ! and stephanotis centered with a white orchid. Miss Molly Alice Powell was maid of honor for her sister. She wore a rusebud pink nylon net and satin gown. Her headpiece was of net with pink lilies of the valley, 1 and she carried a bouquet of sweetheart roses, tuberoses and 1 stephanotis. The group met at the home of Miss Nifta Faye Kirk, where they prepared Valentine boxes of cook ies, candy, and fruit which they presented to each patient The girls sang thtf favorite hymns of the patients and then visited several patients in the Morehead City Hospital, leaving Valentine gift boxes with them.
