The bride's gown was fashioned of white organdy over pink satin. Tiers of lace graced the full skirt and fitted bodice. She wore pink mitts, and in her hair a tiara of white flowers. Two Hostesses Honor Miss Edith Long Friday Mrs. Luther Hamilton and Mrs. Luther Hamilton Jr. honored Hiss Edith Long, bride-elect, at a cof fee hour Friday morning from ten thirty to twelve at the home of the former. Miss Long and her mother, Mrs. Ira Long, of Goldsboro, were pre sented corsages upon arrival. The hostesses' gift to the honoree was a knife, fork and spoon in her chosen pattern of silver. A green and white motif was used. The table was centered with an attractive arrangement of white gladiolas. The thirty-five guests were served coffee, soft drinks, ham and cheese biscuits, open-face sand wiches, nuts, mints and cookies. Mrs. Jack Nobles of Greenville poured the coffee. Brooks Sunday In a beautiful ceremony Sunday at three o'clock in the afternoon in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Beau fort, Miss Jeraldine Hedgecock and Mr. Bertie Monroe Brooks were united in marriage. The Rev. C. Edward Sharpe, rector, officiated at the double ring ceremony. The church was decorated with white gladiolas, white carnations, and white daisies. Prior to the ceremony, Mrs. Joseph House, organist, and Mr. Charles E. Idol, soloist and uncle of the bride, gave a program of nuptial music. Among their selec tions were 0 Perfect Love and Cana's Wedding Feast. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of chan tilly lace over satin with a lace bodice. The sabrina necklinc was outlined with hand-clipped lace hearts and trimmed with sequins. Long sleeves ended in points over the bride's hands. The skirt was tulle with lace panels over the tulle, from the front to the end of the cathedral train. Her fingertip veil of illusion was attached to a half hat of lace, trimmed with sequins. Nylon-pleat ed tulled framed the hat. She car ried a prayer book showered with miniature carnations. The maid of honor was Miss Thclma Mcmakis, Morchead City. ? ' Her gown was of pervanche blue ciystallette. It was ballerina length, fashioned with a strapless bodice, princess skirt in front with pleated fullness in back. She wore a matching cape stole. Bridesmaids were the Misses Mary Allen Hughes. Daisy Brock and Barbara Ann Willis, all of Morehead City. Their gowns were fashioned along the same lines as that of the maid of honor, in powder blue. In their hair they wore matching velvet - covered bands with circular veil, trimmed with rhinestoncs. They carried casc.i.sc bouquets of white carnations and marcelle daisies. Honorary bridesmaids were the Misses Carolyn Guthrie and Sue Robinson. Serving the bridegroom as best man was his father, Mr. Cccil C. Brooks. Ushers were Billy Craw ford and Nelson Taylor Lewis of Raleigh; Jimmy Fodrie, Wilson and Billy Downum, Beaufort.
