ESC Chairman Reports On Unemployment Fund Raleigh ? Henry E. Kendall, chairman of the Employment Se curity Commission, reported today that North Carolina's balance in the unemployment trust fund earn ed $1,194,935.49 in interest during [the fourth quarter of 1957. This brought the account's total as of | the end of 1957 to $182,207,335.49, a gain of about three million dollars .over the year. The North Carolina account in the unemployment trust fund is made up of employer contribu tions paid under the Employment Security Commission law.
