Mr*. Bell Entertains Lillian Wallace Class Mrs. Edgar Bell wii hostesa to the Lillian Wallace Bible Clasa at her home Tuesday night. Attrac tive arrangements of jonquila, val ley lilies, foraythia and other apring flowers were uaed in the living room. Mra. J. G. Bennett led the de votional program with prayer, after which Mrs. J. L. Seamon read the scripture. Mrs. W. C. Carlton read a story illustrating the everyday uses of Faith. During the business session group captains gave reports on various activities of' the class dur ing March. Mrs. Harold Webb, class president, was remembered with a birthday gift from the class. Mrs. I-. A Daniels and Mrs. George Purifoy assisted Mrs. Bell in serving brownies a la mode, coffce and colas. Fidelis Class Meets At Home of Mrs. Lashley The Fidelis class of First Bap tist Church met at the home of Mrs. John Lashley last Tuesday night. Mrs. Ruby Baldree opened the meeting with a short story, It Is Finished. Miss Gertrude Styron gave a reading on Our Church and World Missions. The members partici pated in sentence prayers. The business session was pre sided over by the president, Mrs. Cassie Mann. The hostess served a chicken salad plate and colas. Allen, an ex change student under the Amer ican Field Scrvice program, spent two months last year with a family in Braunschweig, Ger many. Swanson at tended the Easter Cantata at the Greenville Free WiU Baptist Church Sunday. The cantata was under the direction of their son, Francis, a student at East Caro lina College. Ackerlcy and Mrs. Herman Willis attended a hair styling show in Greenville this week. Mr. and Mrs. Joe O'Connell and children, Timothy and Laurel Ann, have returned to their home in Union City, N. The hostess served cherry cake with whipped cream and cof fee. Coast Guard Wives Club Organizes Monday Night The Coast Guard Wives Club held an organiiational meeting Monday night at St. Egbert'! Catholic School. The club is open to wives of Coast Guardsmen, whe ther on active duty or retired. The ten persons present agreed to contact other women eligible for membership and to bring some one to the next meeting. Mrs. Bascom Williams read the club charter. It was decided to meet again Wednesday, April 16, at 7:30 at the school hall. Refreshments of coffee and , cookies were served after the meeting.
