Mr. and Mrs. Bob Meadows of Beau fort were guests. High score was won by Mrs. Thomas L. Noe, second high by Mrs. Billy Oglesby and low by Mr. Meadows. Mrs. Norris served nuts, popcorn and colas during play and choco late pie and coffee for dessert. She used an arrangement of jonquils and forsythia for decoration. The club will meet with Mr. and Mrs. Noe in two weeks. Mrs. Kenneth Wagner Hostess to Bridge Club Mrs. Kenneth Wagner was hos tess to her bridge club Thursday afternoon. Guests were Mrs. Ed ward Faucette, Mrs. Joe Olschner and Mrs. Milton Morey. Prior to bridge the hostess served a frozen fruit salad with crackers and deviled ham. Wynne-Phillips Vows Spqken Miss Janice Ruth Phillips of New Bern and Richard Allen Wynne of Havelock were united in marriage Saturday evening at six o'clock in the First Methodist Church, Havelock. The Rev. Johnie L. Joyce officiated, using the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Quit Beam Phillips of New Bern and the granddaughter of Mrs. Oliver Becton of this city. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs: Cye Wynne of Havelock and the late Mr. Wynne. The altar was arranged with an arch decorated with oregon fern. Basketa of white gladiolas were placed against a background of palms and the altar vases were filled with gypsophilia. Seven branched candelabra held lighted cathedral tapers. Mrs. John Hyneman of Have lock was organist and Mrs. James Corey of Havelock was aoloist. She sang Through the Years, At Dawn ing and The Lord's prayer. Tradi tional wedding marches were used. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an original floor-length gown of lace and tulle over satin. The fitted bodice fea tured a scalloped sabrina neckline and long sleeves ending in points over the hands. Bands of lace ex tended from the waist to the hem line of the full tulle skirt. Her fingertip veil a I bridal illu sion was attached to a lace cap embroidered with seed pearls and featuring pearl scallops around the edge. She carried a bouquet of bridal roses and lilies of the ?alley centered with a white or chid. Allen, whe was introduced by Mr*. William Nicholson, chairman of international affairs, spoke of his experiences in Germany last summer and showed color slides of the country. Mrs. Richard Allen Wynae Miss Lois Becton of Morehead City, cousin of the bride, attended the bride as maid of honor. She wore a ballerina-length gown of white embroidered nylon over mist green tulle, featuring a round" neck line, fitted bodice and full skirt. She wore matching headdress and mitts and carried a nosegay of pink carnations. Capt. William E. Wynne, USAF, of Waco, Tex., brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were Thomas G. Willis of More head City, uncle of the bride, Lowell E. Harris of Norfolk, Va., W. J. Wynne Jr. and H. Clay Wynne of Havelock, cousins of the bridegroom. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Phillips wore a dress of beige lace over aqua taffeta with matching accessories and a corsage of talis man roses. A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. The hall was dec orated with white gladiolas, green ery and lighted tapers. The bride's table was covered with a pale green satin cloth trimmed with lace and net. The centerpiece of white flowers was flanked with silver candle holders and lighted white tapers. On one end of the table was the silver punch bowl and on the other end was the four-tiered wedding cake topped with silver bells and decorated with rosebuds and bells. Mrs. Ottis Purifoy of Morehead City poured punch and Mrs. Clay Wynne and Mrs. W. J. Wynne, both of Havelock, served cake. Mrs. Lawrence Bayer of Have lock assisted in receiving and Mrs. George Purifoy of Morehead City presided at the guest book. Following a wedding trip, the couple will make their home in Havelock. Moore of Beaufort. Fortnightly Club Meets With Mrs. A. Hamilton Mrs. Alvah Hamilton was hostess to the Fortnightly Bridge Club at her home Thursday afternoon. Mrs. W. S.
