Farewell to Arms Will Open Sunday at Morehead The film version of Ernest Hem ingway'! great war novel, A Fare well to Arms, will run all next week at the Morehead Theatre. Rock Hudson and Jennifer Jones share top billing in the movie. As Lieutenant Frederic Henry, an American ambulance driver on the Austro-Italian front during the First World War, Rock Hudson displays deep and simple dramatic depths. His control, his ability to meet the varying demands placed upon the Henry character, mark him anew as one of the screen's finest technicians. Jennifer Jones, as Nurse Cath erine Barkley who loved without reservation, is excellent and is every bit as fine, but with a deep er maturity, than in her award winning role in The Song of Ber nadette. Playing Sunday through Tues day at the City Theatre will be Cattle Empire, starring Joel Mc Crea. McCrea plays the part of John Cord, Texas' toughest trail boss. Joel McCrea, an active horse man and rancher himself, brings to the role at Cord, who allowed his men to commit the worst trail crime possible, a realistic and hard-bitten portrayal. Gary Merrill and Nancy Davis co-star in Crash Landing, sche duled to play Wednesday and Thursday at the City. Crash Landing is hailed as one of the year's most exciting air sea adventures, the dramatic story of 32 people aboard a transatlan tic plane forced down in mid ocean. Friends and enemies, brave and frightened, good and bad, the II crash landing lay* bare their hopes, fear*, laves a ?d hates. Especially la "Crash Landing" the story al the (ten captain at the air liner, played by Merrill, a taciturn commander who thrives himself and Ma subordinates al most beyond endurance.
