Mrs. Masson Entertains Bridge Club on Thursday Mrs. George Masson entertained her bridge club Thursday evening at her home. Mrs. Harry Davis was a guest. During progressions the hostess served nuts and candies and at the conclusion of play, pizza pic and colas. High score prize, an earring rack, was won by Mrs. Davis and low score prize, a milk glass but ter dish, was won by Mrs. Tommy Eure. The club will meat in two weeks at the home of Mrs. Jack Whitley. Miss Am/ Muse Hostess To Thursday Night Club Miss Amy Muse was hostess to her bridge club Thursday evening at her home. Mrs. Horace Loftin and Mrs. Jim Wheatley were her guests. Mrs. Loftin won guest high prize and Mrs. W. L. Woodard won club high prize. The hostess served a dessert of chocolate cake with coffee and mints. During progressions colas were served. Russells Creek Circle Meets Thursday Night The Saviour's Seven Last Words was the subject of the lesson given at the Russells Creek Friendship Circle meeting Thursday night. Also discussed in the lesson was who took the Saviour's body from the cross and carried it to the sepulchre. The circle met at the tome of Mrs. Boy Taylor. After a short business session. Mrs. Taylor served chicken salad sandwiches, potato chips and iced drinks. Azaleas Now in Bloom At Orton Plantation Alter a month's delay due to the unseasonable winter, the azaleas at Orton Plantation are now in bloom and should continue for the remainder of April and perhaps in to the early days of May, accord ing to Kenneth M. Sprunt, owner of the plantation. The buds of the dwarf azaleas came through the severe winter with little damage but the larger and later varieties have suffered to an extent that their blooms will not be up to average. Climbing roaes and flowering shrubs have not been hurt, Ur. Sprunt reports. Cari driven by Gene Harrell. Wahab en joyed an air trip last week to "harleston. S. C.', with Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Wikstrom and their ions. They flew down in the morn ing, did a considerable amount of sight-seeing by automobile, and then started back late in the af ternoon, making the tk-ip back to Ocracoke iu about an hour. Mrs Wahab says it was a thrilling ad venture. Friends of W. T. Boos will regret to learn of bis illness here, lie suffered a heart attack on Sunday night and has been ordered to bid by his doctors. Active as he is, Mr. Boos isn't going to find it an easy matter tu take a good rest. Mrs. Henry Wilder, who accom panied Mr. Wilder and others to Norfolk on Saturday to attend funeral services for E. Carleton Kelly, stayed in Norfolk with her ; sister, Mrs. Victor Grigas. She plans to return home on Wednes day of this week with Mr. and Mrs Monford Garrish who went to Nor folk Monday of this week.
