David's Bound for Harvard
By JUDIE MOORE
Congratulations are In order for I
David Chipman for hit winning '
one of the freshman scholarships j
to Harvard. Though everyone was
not too surprised, they certainly
were pleased when David calmly
announced his award.
He lias always been one of those
lucky students to whom others
look enviously, thinking "If I only
had his ability!" David was a
finalist in the Merit Scholarship
program so naturally Harvard con
sidered and accepted him as a
worthy candidate for one of their
scholarships.
Now we'll be able to say, "I
have a friend at Harvard!"
Tuesday was an especially ex
citing day for the seniors, for not
only did their caps and gowns ar
rive that day but their pride and
joy, the 1958 Mainsail, finally
came.
Everyone assembled in the audi
torium at ?:45 to receive their an
nual wd,.to hear the dedication
which this year was given to Mr>.
Mildred Lawrence. Of course, the
annual staff was awfully proud of
the results of their work and along
with everyone elae proceeded im
mediately to get all. their friends
and teachers to sign their auto
graph pages.
Chalk Dust's readers were given
a sample of next year's reporter

week. Since Bunny interviewed me

Leslie Moore and was born on
Feb. 18, 1941.
At 17, Bunny la fcow 5' I" tall
and weighs 122 pounds. Her bair
