L. Sim mons. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Simpson and Miss Marybelle Garner of Wil mington visited Mrs. Eva Sim mons Sunday. Mrs. Simmons is a patient in the Morehead City hospital. Mra. Henry G. Edwards spent the weekend in Wilson visiting her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Baueom. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Pruit, Carl and Anne, have returned home from a trip to New York City. Mrs. Nora Garner and Mrs. Vida Lockey of New Bern were Injured, in a wreck Sunday which occurred in Wilmington as they were return ing from a visit in South Carolina. Mrs. Garner, who suffered a bro ken hip, is confined to a hospital in Wilmington, but Mrs. Lockey was able to return to her home. Mrs. Garland Lockey of Jack son, Miss., is spending some time here with her mother, Mrs. Sue Willis. Mrs. Elner Garner, Dick Lockey and C. J. Garner went to Wilming ton Sunday to see Mrs. Nora Gar ner, who was injured in a wreck. Miss Edith Lockey, Cleveland J. Garner and Mrs. Garland Loc key visited Mrs. Nora Garner in Wilmington Monday. Rotary Accepts Scout Charter Dr. Darden Eure, Morehead City, representing the East Carolina Council, Boy Scouta of America, presented the Beaufort Rotary Club with a charter for troop 51 Tues day night. Dr. Eure attended the club meeting at the Beaufort Scout building. Glenn Adair, institutional repre, sentative for the Rotary, accepted the charter. Mr. Adair then pre sented cards to Scoutmaster John Duncan, assistant Scoutmaster Henry Eubanks, and Scout com mittee members Tom Potter, Hol den Ballou, Dr. David Farrior, Stanley Potter Jr., David Jones and Ralph Thomas. Program chairman F e n 1 e y Thompson presented B. J. Ma}. Mr. May is county ASC office man ager. He discussed the contribu tlona of the soil bank to the county waMir.
