Begin on Island Today
Beginning today, through Sun
day, June 8, there will be a Holi
ness Camp Meeting at the old
school building, Harkers Island.
Services will begin daily at 10 a.m.

The youth of First Methodist
Church, Morehead City, will give
a party in honor of the high school
graduates of the church tomorrow
night at the A. Bf. Cooper cottage
on Atlantic Beach. The party will
begin at 5 p.m., for those who de
sire to go swimming. A picnic sup
per will be served at 7 p.m., and
recreation will follow.
On Sunday morning at the Com
munion Service the seniors will
sit together and are invited to
participate in a corporate com
munion service for them. The pas
tor's brief communion address will
be especially for the graduates.

Church Starts
Daily Recreation
The recreation program at Ann
Street Methodist Church, Beaufort,
will begin Monday, June 2 in the
Lottie Sanders builders. Morning
hours are from 9 to noon.
The building will be available in
the afternoon if there is someone
in the office to check out equip
ment.
Groups using the building at
night may sign up on the calendar
provided for this purpose in the
education building. For the first
two weeks equipment may be
checked out from Mrs. Nell Lewis
in the church, after that Mrs. Pot
ter in the education building will
check it put. The recreation pro
gram is open to all age groups.
Considerate Mayor
Sterling, Colo. (AP) ? Mayor
James H. Walker, told of unau
thorized use of city vehicles by
city employees, had these thoughts
for the offenders. "Maybe," he
said, "we ought to take the City
of Sterling signs off the sides of
the trucks so as not to embarrass
the drivers."
