Family to Run The Lighthouse Mr and Mrs. Sam Constant, well - known restaurateurs from Campbell, Ohio, have arrived in Morehead City to operate the Lighthouse Restaurant at Atlantic Beach with Niclc Galantis. Mrs. Constant is Mr. Galantis' sister. She and Mr. Constant say that working at Atlantic Beach will be nearly like a vacation. Another newcomer is Nick la cuna, whom Mr. Galantis brought from Beckeley, W. Va. Mr. lacuna has a recipe for pizza that has been passed through his family fur many generations. Mr. Iucona says, "Any cook can give you fine steaks and chops but it takes a good cook plus the right recipe and ingredients to turn out good pizza." The Lighthouse is owne4 by Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Fulcher Jr. and Harry Fulcher of Atlantic. This will be the first summer that Mr. Galantis has leased the restaurant. Fishermen will be able to eat breakfast as early as 4 a . \ and tourists living it up on the beach can stop by as late as midnight for a last snack before turning in. 1! Ncmfrom LENNOXVILLE June 4? Mrs. Dallas Willis and family left last Thursday to join her husband at Mississippi where he is a pilot for Fish Meal Co. Mrs. Jerry Willis and son left last Thursday for Moss Point, Miss., to join her husband who is fishing there. Mrs. Jimmy Lupton and children have gone to join her husband at Cameron, La. Mr. Burton Daniels returned home Saturday from Morehead hospital Mr. and Mrs. James Willis spent the weekend at Atlantic and Cedar Island. Miss Regina Pake spent the weekend with Mrs. Charles Pake Jr. of Atlantic. Mrs. Julia Pake is ill at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Pilcher and daughter visited Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Simpson Sunday after noon. Mrs. Frank Mcintosh visited at Marshallberg Saturday. Capt. Roy Goodwin left Monday for Atlantic City, N. J. Green and family are spending some time in Georgia with rela tives. Mrs. Green's father will come back with them. Mrs. Zora Garner and Miss Nina Garner spent Friday in Kinston with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Ashford. Prof. Loftin L. Garner of the University of North Carolina spent the weekend here with his sisteri, Mrs. W. H. Bell and Mrs. A. L. Wilson. Miss Jean Mason of Hampton, Va., spent the weekend here with her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Manly Mason. Mr. and Mrs. Junius Creech and little son spent the weekend with relatives near Raleigh. Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Parish and children and Miss Bonnie Dale Garner left Friday to spend a month with Mr. Parish's sister in Denver, Colo., and his father and brother in California. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Forrester and son of Clinton, Tenn., arrived Sunday for a visit with Mr* For rester's parents Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jones. C., spent the weekend here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Bowe. Mrs. Leon Youngblood and Mrs. Elbert Mann spent the weekend in Charlotte attending a fashion show. Mrs. Manly Mason, Miss Jean Mason and brother, Johnny, spent Friday in Raleigh with Miss Willi lou Mason. Mrs. Rena Edwards returned home Friday from Atlantic where she spent several days with her listers. Mr. and Mrs. John Hatfield of Norfolk, Va., spent the weekend here with Mrs. Sadie Garner. Mrs. Annie Cannon of Silver Springs, Md., is spemiiug some time with Mrs. Gertie Garner. Dr. and Mrs. Virgjl Jonea and son U Wichita. Kan., are visiting Dr. Jones' mother, Mrs. Anna B. Jonea. Home to be Toured This home, know* as the HaUeli bouse, 117 Orange St., Beaufort, was built "soon after 1827". Occupants watched the shelling of Fort Macon from iti second story parch in 18U. It will be open to per sons making the Old Homes tour in Beaufort June 18. Marine Pays $150 Fine For Hit and Run Driving Carl Brice, Cherry Point Marine,' was charged court costs and a $150 fine in Morehead City Recorder's court Monday. Judge Herbert Phil lips found him guilty of hit and run driving. He suspended a six month jail term and ordered Brice not to drive for six months. Thomas C. Nagle forfeited a cash bond rather than stand trial for throwing trash on the highway. | Richard F. Wenz was fined $25 for driving with an expired license An additional $50 fine and court costs were added when he was also found guilty of careless and reckless driving and running a stop sign. Fined $25 John R. Whittimore, who knocked off the fire hydrant at 24th and Arendell Streets last week, was fined $25 plus court costs and ordered to pay the water company fo| tj>e damage. .-.LymtQ^hibodeau got at $25 fine Wf spfeealhg and scratching off. Hartman who was found guilty of driving a car without a muffler. Pays Costa Judge Phillips ordered Mary Howell to pay costs after she with drew a warrant charging Eddie I ce Howell with assault with a deadly weapon. Willie Jones was put on one year good behavior and a 10-day jail sentence was suspended in his case. He was found guilty of public drunkenness. Cases were continued against Harry Morris, L. A. Masciello, John Igoe, H. L. Shinn and M. T. Williams. Mrs. Rogers will spend several days here with her mother, Mra. Several froti here attended the baccalaureate sermon and grad uating exercises at Beaufort High School last week. Dr. Conner from Havelock con ducted services at our church last Sunday while Mr. Poulk attended homecoming at Core Creek. Mrs. Etta Pigott visited Mrs. Neva Dail last week. Paula Beachem entertained ten of her little girl friends at her birthday party last week at the home of her uncle, Clarence Bea chem. Mrs. Fulcher returned home with them so she could attend the graduation of her grandmother, Phyllis Springle. Vacation Bible School started at our church last Monday and will close Friday. The guild found the greatest ac tivity in New York State, followed by Illinois and theo Pennsylvania.
