Carolyn, to Mr. Robert Jules Anthony tomorrow. Mrs. T. G. Lewis will leave this weekend for Washington, D. C., to spend the summer with her daugh ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bailey. Receives Degree Mr. Thomas Ray Hughes, hus band of the former Miss Edith Long of this city, graduated from the University of Michigan last week with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. Laudefdale, Fla., were married in the First Baptist Church of Hollywood Saturday eve ning at eight o'clock. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Sam P. Guerio of Hollywood and Mr. Seth O. Pipkin of New Bern. The bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Laugh ton of Ft. Lauderdale. The Rev. William Gardner per formed the ceremony against a background of white gladiolas and chrysanthemums, palms and light ed candles. Miss Frances Ballard, organist, and Mr. Jimmy Ball, soloist, pre sented a program of nuptial music. The bride was given in marriage by her step-father. She wore a floor length gown of chantilly lace over slipper satin fashioned with a scalloped sabrina neckline and long sleeves ending in points over the hands. The bouffant skirt of lace extend ed into a chapel length train. Her fingertip veil of illusion fell from a tiara of lace and seed pearls and she carried an arm bouquet of white flowers. Miss Jean Affinito was maid of honor and Mrs. Neil Kypers, sis ter of the bridegroom, was matron of honor. Miss Affinito wore a blush pink gown and Mrs. Kypers wore a mauve gown. Both were ballerina length taffeta fashioned with a draped neckline and a skirt accented with a large bow. They wore matching tiaras and carried fans of pink roses. Miss Barbara Faulkner and Miss Lillian Wallace Class Meets With Mrs. Webb Mrs. Harold Webb was hostess to the Lillian Wallace Bible Class at her home on Arendell Street Tuesday evening. There were six teen members present and a guest, Mrs. W. R. Moore of Statesviile. Mrs. Edgar Bell led the devo tions by reading portions of St. Mark. Her subject was Faith. Prayer was led by Mrs. Adam Mayer. Mri. Webb presided over the business session and appointed committee chairmen to take care of the four projects for June. Mrs. A. H. McDonald and Mrs. George Purifoy assisted the hos tess in serving ice cream, cake and nuts. Lauderdale. She is employed by Lindsley Lumber Co. of Holly wood as a bookkeeper and is a member oft he Credit Women's Breakfast Club. The bridegroom is a graduate | of South Broward High School, Hollywood, and is attending Stet son University, DeLand, Fla., where he is a member of Pi Kap pa Alpha. The hostess served a dessert course of ice cream, block cike, nuts and coffee. Mrs. H. L. Joslyn won high score, Mri. O. H. Johnson won sec ond high and Mrs. C. R. Davant won low.
