Stewart will arrive this afternoon from Goldsboro to spend the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White hurst. Colonel Stewart is the sup erintendent of (he Odd Fellows Home in Goldsboro. Miss Amy Muse Hostess At Bridge Party Tuesday Miss Amy Muse was hostess at a bridge party Tuesday afternoon at the Morehead Biltmore Hotel honoring her houseguests, Mrs. James Hanna and Miss Jean Han na of Scarsdale, N. Y. Nine tables of bridge were in play. Arrangements of June lilies, paiib*es and daisies were used for decoration. Mrs. N. F. Eure, with high score, won a pair of earrings and Mrs. B. C. Brown of Arlington, Va., and Beaufort, with "somewhat less," won a tray. Out-of-town players were Mrs. K. W. Prest of Tampa, Fla. and Mrs. Robert L. Rose of Ft. Lau derdale, Fla. Married at Williston Mrs. Terry Whitley Gillikin miss Kaiani i,ai.onn Mason 01 Williston became the bride of Ter ry Whitley Gillikin of Beaufort RFD in a candlelight double ring ceremony Monday, June 2, in the Williston Methodist Church. The Rev. D. M. Tyson, pastor, offi ciated. Floor baskets of white gladiolas were placed against a background of pine on either side of the altar. The altar rail was entwined with ivy and an arrangement of snap dragons, carnations and fern was placed on the piano. Mrs. Lionel Salter of Marshall berg, organist, and Miss Trudy Gillikin, sister of the bridegroom, vocalist, presented a program of nuptial music. The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. Lance Smith, Beaufort. She wore a ballerina length gown of nylon lace over satin fashioned with a scalloped neckline and long pointed sleeves. The bouffant skirt was highlighted with a panel of pleated chiffon in the front. Her veil of illusion was attached to a crown of lace and seed pearls and she carried a nosegay of red rosebuds. Mrs. Harold Daniels Jr., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a pink nylon chiffon over taffeta gown featuring a shirred waist with a draped neckline and full skirt. She carried a basket of carnations, snapdragons, daisies and asters in pink and white. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Peggy Steele, the Misses Jean Gillikin^ Clarise Willis, Judy Piner, Bever ly Willis and Phyllis Piner, all of Williston. Three attendants wore gowns of yellow and three wore nile green, fashioned like that of the honor attendant. They also carried bas kets of spring flowers. Miss Jackie Daniels, niece of the bride, was flower girl. She wore a blue net over taffeta dress and carried a basket of rose petals. Gordon Daniels, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Louis Grey Thomas was best man for the bridegroom. Phillip Mason, Ted Willis, Paul Wade, David Willis, O'Brien Lawrence and Edward Lawrence were ush ers. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Mason wore a light blue dress with white flowered hat and a corsage of white carnations. Mrs. Gillikin, mother of the groom, wore a brocaded pink dress with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. A reception was held at the bride's home following the wed ding. Mrs. Lance Smith greeted guests, Mrs. Elvin Piner poured punch and Mrs. James Willis served cake. The bride attended Smyrna High School. The bridegroom is 9 grad uate of Smyrna High School and is employed by Atkinson Dredging Co., Annapolis, Md. High Score was won by Mrs. James Steed and low score by Mrs. Ronald Earl Mason. The club will meet next at the home of Mrs. Herman Autry, Highland Park. Kate Van Horn, 6 Wins Shetland Pony Kate Van Horn, 6 - year - old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roper Van Horn, has won a Shetland pony. Kate entered a contest sponsored by Edsel dealers. The contest was to name a pony. Kate submitted the name, "Catchup". Mrs. Van Horn said that when her daughter learned she had won the pony, "her face lit up like a neon sign". "My daughter adores horses," Mrs. Van Horn continued. "She's entered other contests try ing to win one, and this time it has paid off." The pony is to be delivered in about two weeks. It will be kept at Crab Point in a pasture at the home of Mrs. Van Horn's sister. Woodmen to Observe Family Night Monday Woodmen of the World Camp 188, Morehead City, will observe family night at 7 p.m. Monday at the Woodmen Lodge on Bonner Avenue.
