Mrs. John Nelson spent the week end in Greenville and in Washing ton. In Greenville she attended the wedding of her cousin, Miss Pau line Bell, to Rodney Robinson of Rubersonville. Sunday she visited Mrs. R. B. Taylor in Washington and attended dedicatory services for the new Methodist parsonage there. Truman Kemp Jr., Ethan Davis III, George Wallace, Bud Daniels, Michael Lewis and Johnny Crowe left over the weekend for Philmont Ranch, N. M., to attend a Boy Scout camporee. She wore a headband of tiny white flowers with sequins and carried a white satin-covered Bible topped with frenched carnations. Miss Shirley Anne Midgett, cou sin of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a pale yellow street length dress with bands of lace and a yellow headband with small veil. She carried a nosegay of yellow frenched carnations and gladiolas tied with blue ribbon. Mr. Donnie Eubanks, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Mr. Richard Eubanks, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr. William Marks were ushers. For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Gaskins wore a lavender street length dress with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. The couple left on a wedding trip to Charleston, S. C. Upon their re turn they will make their home at 708Mi Fisher St., Morehead City. Mrs. Eubanks is a graduate of Morehead City High School and Mr. Eubanks is employed at the Idle Hour Amusement Center, Atlantic Beach. Rehearsal Party Given At James Home Friday A party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. James Sr., 608 Arendcll St., following rehear sal of the Hill-Rabon wedding Fri day night. Hostesses were Mrs. James, Mrs. Roland King and Miss Colleen King of New Bern and Mrs. James Macy Jr. of this city. Miss Verna Jean Rabon, bride elect, her mother, Mrs. S. J. Ra bon, and Mrs. Hugh Hill of Beau fort, mother of the bridegroom re ceived corsages of white gardenias. Arrangements of white gladiolas were placed in the living room and hall. The bride's table was covered with a pink tulle ever satin cloth centered with an arrangement of white gardenias and fern flanked with candelabra holding pink can dles. Mrs. King and Miss King greeted guests. Mrs. Macy poured punch and Mrs. James and Mrs. Clarence E. Mitchell assisted in serving. Open - face sandwiches, mints, nuts and pink punch were served buffet style to the forty guests. Goodbyes were said to Mrs. James and Mrs. King. Miss Priscilla Ebron Entertained Saturday Mrs. Eloise Whorton and Mrs. Mae Gilllkin were hostesses at a bridal shower Saturday night in honor of Hiss Priscilla Ebron, bride-elect. The shower was given at the home of Miss Ebron's aunt, Mrs. M. A. Ebron. The honoree and Mrs. Ebron were presented" corsages of white carnations. Bingo was played during the eve ning and prizes were awarded the winners. Heavenly hash, buttered thins and colas were served the twenty guests.
