Willis had as their weekend guest Mr. Lynn Heflin of Washington, D. C. The Misses Lillian Roy all and Phyllis Whitehead returned home Monday from a three weeks vaca tion in Louisiana. Mrs Ruth C. Willis of Washing ton, D. C. is spending two weeks with her mother, Mrs. Kate Willis. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Kinsey and son of Kenly were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Moore. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bill War ren over the weekend were his sisters and brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Patton and two sons from Winston-Salem and Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Haddock and four sons erf Plymouth. mr. Tommy Bennen, Kaieign, and his guest. Miss Eleanor Tay lor, Chapel Hill, spent the week end with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Bennett. Mrs. E. A. Ingram, Mrs. Ruby Welch and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Rudder and son, all of Danville, Va., Mrs. Carlton Fos ter of Norfolk, Va? and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Prior and family of Saratoga. Calif., were holiday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Ingram. Mr. and Mrs. Crump Fulcher of Greenville spent the holiday week end with his mother, Mrs. W. L. Fulcher. Mr. Raymond H. Woolridge and son, David, and Rennie Awana attended the funeral of Mr. Wool ridge's brother, Dr. J. Hayes Wool ridge, in Clearfield, Pa., Tuesday. Dr. Woolridge died Friday, July 4. Mrs. D. H. West and daughters, Uada and Pit, will return to their home in Fayetteville this weekend ?iter visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Purifoy. Dr. MacDougall returned home Wednesday but Mrs Mac Dougall and the children are re maining for a longer visit. Mr. W. L. Derrickson left Tues day for Portsmouth, Va., on a bus iness trip. Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Cannon and family of Halburg, Pa., and Mr. and Mrs. John Cannon of Spring field, Pa., attended the funeral of Mr. Wayland Doggett. Mrs. Lowery, New Bride, Is Honored at Shower Mrs W. L Lowery of Newport, ? recent bride, was honored with a shower at the home of Mra. Charles Hill, Newport, last Thurs day evening. Mrs. Hill greeted the guests and introduced them to the bonoree. In the diniaf room punch and block cake, mints and nuts were served from a lace-covered table by Mr*. Walter D. Heath and Mrs. C. M.
