Auguat bride elect, waa honored at a ahower Friday evening at the Jefferson Coffee Shop given by Mrs. Kent Brown. Upon arrival the honoree, her mother, Mrs. Gordon Becton, and her fiance'a mother, Mrs. Georgia Parker, were presented corsages by the hostess. Baskets of zinnias and gladiolas and ivy were used for decoration. The table was covered with a lace cloth and was centered with min iature bride and bridegroom dolls. The twenty-seven guests en joyed games of bingo during the evening. Mrs. J. L. Seamon won the door prize. Miss Bar bara Blanchard ef Raleigh became the bride of William Donaldson Campbell, also of Raleigh. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Clyde Blanchard of this city. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John William Campbell of Charlotte. Dr. John H. Bunn of Durham, former pastor of the church, offi ciated at the ceremony. Floor bas kets of white gladiolas and can delabra holding lighted cathedral tapers were used to decorate the church. Mrs. George Miieako of this city, OTganist, and Mrs. Bradley Pen ?ell of Raleigh, soloist, presented nuptial music prior to the wad ding. Selections were With This Ring I Thee Wed. The Sweetest Story Ever Told, adn The Weddiag Prayer. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a ballerina length gown of off-white chantilly lace and net over bridal satin. The fitted bodice featured long sleeves tapering to points over tlw hands and a round neckline out lined wiht lace appliques accented with iridescent sequins. The fuU pleated skirt fell from a slightly pointed waist. She wore a fingertip veil of silk illusion attached to an open crown of nylon and satin braid. She car ried a white Bible topped with a bouquet of white trenched carna tions and showered with satin streamers and lilies of the valley. Miss Wynona Blanchard of Ra leigh, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a waltz leagth blue cotton frock fashioned along princess lines. The dress, which was topped with a short Jacket, featured a laee top highlighted with self-covered buttons and a softly flared skirt. She carried a ba Marina bouquet of pink froncbed carnations tied with matching ribbons, and wore a white picture hat. A reception was given by the bride's parents ii the church social room immediately following the ceremony. For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Blanchard wore a pink lace over taffeta shoath dress with a semi chemise drape in back with pink and white aocessories and a cor sage of white carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore a black and brown dress with hlack accessaries and a corsage of white carnations. Wed Aboard Carolina Queen Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Schrader, who were married juiy id aboard the Carolina Queen, are shown above at the reception given in their honor at the home of Mrs. E. B. Whitley following the cere mony. Mrs. Schrader is the former Dorothy M. Dixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs B. D. Dixon of Arapahoe. Mr. Schrader is the son of August Schrader of this city and Mrs. Mary Schrader of Winchester, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Adams Announce Marriage Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Adams, Broad Creek, announce the mar riage of their daughter, Laura, to Mr. Ralph Shrader, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Shrader of Lima, Ohio. The marriage took place May 31 at Conway, S. C. Mrs. James Taylor, Broad Creek, aunt of Mrs. iRalph Shrader, was hostess at a household shower at her Jiome June 31. The guest of honor was Mrs. Shrader. Methodist Cirde Will Serve Supper Tomorrow The Ann Miriah Circle of Frank lin Memorial Methodiat Church will sponsor a crab stew supper tomorrow, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the church recreation room. The circle offers all you can eat for $1. Hot dogs will be sold for children. Persons are invited to bring their families.
