County farm agents and federal departments engaged in promoting greater and wiser use of state lands "have cooperated wonder fully with us in getting more peo ple in North Carolina to plant trees to supply the growing needs for pulpwood and timber," Griffiths said. Applications for seedlings, which are sold at production cost, should be in the hands of Btate Forester Fred Claridge as soon as possible in order to assure delivery, Mr. Griffiths said. Forms on which to order seed lings may be secured from the state forester's office in Raleigh, county and district foresters, coun ty farm agents, and such federal agencies as the Soil Conservation Service and the local Agricultural Stabilization Committee office.
