Toaatmaatera present were S/8gt. and Mrs. Ed Meyer, T/Sgt. and Mrs. Ray Bourgholtzer, S/Sgt. and Mra. Ai Steele. S/Sgt. and Mra. Bob Spann. S/Sgt. Thurlow EUia and S/Sgt. Jokn Stafford. Mr. and Mrt. BUI Wilkins uf the Carteret County Toast masters Club were guests. Toastmaster Al Steele led the meeting during the table topics fun-portion of the aession. Each person was given a bus iness card as merchandise sales men, contractors, factory repre sentatives, etc. After identifying each individual, the party was then ask^d to give a description or tales pitch about his or her occupation. Speakers of the evening for the educational portion of Toastroas ters were Sergeant Steele, who spoke on "Silent Hi-Fi", an en tertaining speech using gestures and voice modulation; Sergeant Ellis, who delivered an impromptu speech, "Why I Like a Station Wagon", a comparison of the sta tion wagon against the sedan; and Bill Wilkins, speaking on, "How to Build A Boat Dock", a particu larly interesting speech since he was restricted from all hand ges tures. Willis went to George town, S. C., Sunday to meet her husband who will spend his vaca tion here. Mrs. Arietta Mason, Tbornas viHe, is spending several weeks here with relatives. Eugene, Catherine, Paul and Robert Gaskill are here due to the illness of their father who is in the hospital but is now doing fine. Mr. and Mrs. Major Willis, Brooklyn, N. Y., Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Willis, Sea Level, and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Arthur and chil dren of North River visited Mr. and Mrs. Braxton Taylor Saturday. Braxton Dickinson is now in the Marine hospital at Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Taylor Sr. went to see their son, Harvey Jr. last Sunday. He is a patient at the Veterans hospital in Salisbury. He was much improved. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Davis and chil dren. Joe, Phillip, Debbie and Kathie. are spending a week with Mra. Davis's parenta, Mr. and Mra. Harvey Salter. They have been in Trois Fontaines, France, for the put three years, where Mr. Davis was employed. Mr. and Mrs. Muriel Fink am) children, Kenneth and Beverly, Keermoore, Pa., spent last week vtth Mrs. Fink's cousin, Mrs. Har vey Taylor. Mrs. Rufus Bunch is a patient at DePaul Hospital in Norfolk. Mr. and Mrs. Percy Marahall, Morehead City, visited Mrs. Myrtle Howard Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Norwood Nelson and son, Mike, Tampa, Fla., are spending a few weeks here and in Atlantic with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Taylor Jr. and their friends, Janet and Bar bara Parker, Durham, were here oyer the weekend.
