Although Carteret County has never produced a native author of fiction, yet it enjoys the distinc tion of being among the few coun ties to have seven story writers use it as the locale of their novels. Church Relief Expands New York (AP) ? Relief pro grams have been instituted by Church World Service, Protestant overseas relief agency, in four new areas ? Ghana, the Belgian Congo and Uganda in Africa and in Chile. This brings to 47 countries the re gions now aided by the service. Forests in New York state have increased more than 20 per cent in the past three decades. The state now has 14,450,000 acres com pared to 12,000,000 acres in 1933.
