(AP)? Canada and the United States don't agree on everything, a Canadian motor ist told Peace Justice Clive Mer ritt. The Canadian had been fined $10 for failing to report that his car hit and killed a dog. Another mo torist reported his license number to New York State police. But in Quebec, he and his son were fined $10 each because they DID notify the police of killing a dog, the Canadian told the justice. He said "Quebec authorities levied the fines for "unnecessary deploy ing police." It was J. B. Johnson who made the first attempt to swim across the English channel. That was in 1172.
