Mace Jr., of Southport spent the weekend at the Mace home here. Mrs Mace and their daughter, who had been visiting here several days, returned with him Sunday. Miss Nancy Mason and Miss Jackie Young, students at Mere idth College in Raleigh, are expect ed home for the weekend. Miss Paula Jones, a student at the University of North Carolina, was home for the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jones. Dr. and Mrs. L. W. Moore will spend the weekend in Winston Salem with their son and daughter in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Moore and family, and their daughter. Judy, who is a student at Salem College. Mrs. L. A. Cherry . . . home economist Mrs. William J. Cherry, More head City, has been named home service representative for Carolina Power & Light Co. in the More head City-Jacksonville area. Mrs. Cherry succeeds Mrs. Cecil Adan.j, who has transferred to CP&L's New Bern office. Mrs. Cherry is a native of More head City and is a graduate of Flora Macdonald College, where she received a degree in home economics. Following graduation, she worked with the State Exten sion Service and taught home eco nomics in the public schools. She recently completed a training course in home service work for CP&L. Mrs. Cherry's area of work with CP&L includes Morehead City, Jacksonville, Havelock and Rich lands. Sears Introduces New Credit Plan A new deferred credit plan de signed to make Christmas shopping easier on the family budget will be introduced in Sears, Roebuck and Co.'s 1958 Christmas catalog, sched uled for distribution now. Under the new plan, no payment will be due until January of 19S9 on merchandise ordered before Nov. 17, Thurlow Whealton, More head City office manager, explains. This new deferred payment pro gram will be in effect on all mer chandise offered in Sears current catalogs whether ordered by mail, telephone or through die local cata log sales office.
