Mr. and Mrs. Bill Campbell of Raleigh spent the weekend here with her mother, Mrs. R. C. Blan chard, and family. Mr. Clyde Blanchard will return home today from a week's visit in Mexico. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Paul and Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Lynch spent j the weekend in Raleigh. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Roush of Cincinnati, Ohio, are spending a week with hit brother and liater in-law, Mr. and Mri. Hilton P.ou?h. Mrs. George Dill Sr. left Thurs day to viait her niece. Mrs. E. H. Snead, in Northfleld, N. I. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Lynch spent last week at Ocracoke. Miss Judy Willis, Miss Johnette Styron and Grover Smithwick, stu dents at East Carolina College, Greenville, spent the weekend at home with their parents. Dr. T,. J Norris and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Meadows of Beaufort at tended the Carolina Wake Forest Game in Chapel Hill Saturday. They remained there overnight and returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. M T. Mills mo tored to Wilmington Sunday to take their grandson. Grant Strawcutter, who had been visiting them for two weeks. Grant's parents. Dr. and Mrs. Howard Starwcutter of Lum berton, met them in Wilmington. Mr. and Mrs C. B. Wade have returned home from a tour of the New England states and a visit in New York City. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Roberts at tended the Duke-State football game in Durham Saturday. They were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Price of Burlington and went to Greensboro Sunday to hear Dr. Henry Hitt Crane. Dr. and Mrs Russell Outlaw were in Pulaski, Va., over the weekend for the wedding of her cousin. Miss Elizabeth Thomas, and William R. Hicks Jr. of Rich mond. The Outlaws were hosts at a wedding breakfast at noon Sat urday at the Blair House. Literary, Art Group Hears Program on Sound The Literary and Art Depart ment of the Woman's Club opened its year with a meeting Wednesday night at the civic center. Mrs. Mil ton rtoush, chairman, presided. Mrs. Roush announced the offi cers and committee chairmen for the year. They are Mrs. W. B. Chalk, vice-chairman; Mrs Ber nard Leary, secretary; Mrs. Owens Frederick, treasurer. Mrs. Gus Davis, publicity chair man; Mrs. Herbert Webb, art chairman; Mrs. S. T. Chadwick, projects chairman; and Mrs. Da vis, program chairman. Mrs. Roush recognized the offi cers of the general Woman's Club and Mrs. Malcolm Collins, who was a guest. The budget, presented by the chairman, was adopted. She com mented on the April meeting, at which time the club plans a trip to Raleigh for a tour of the Mu seum of Art. Mrs. A. B. Roberts announced the UNICEF trick or treat cam paign, which will be held Friday night. Mrs. Davis, program chairman, introduced Mrs. Roush, who gave the program, Adventures in Sound. She gave a talk and used a stereo phonic tape recorder to illustrate the different sounds and the ways they are used. Following the program a coffee hour was held honoring the offi cers of the Woman's Club. Coffee, cake, nuts and mints were served from a beautifully appointed table. Hostesses were Mrs. U. K. Moore, Mrs. Bernard Leary, Mrs. Owens Frederick, Mrs. Harvey Hamilton Sr., Mrs. George Ball and Mrs. W. B. Chalk. St. Egbert's Bazaar Will Feature Varied Booths The boutique booth at the bazaar to be held at St. Egbert's School on Nov. S will feature many un usual and novel items for Christ mas gifts. There will be mad-mon ey mouse traps, pearl - legged match boxes, Christmas cocktail napkins, Santa Claus mugs, dec orated candles and hand-painted clothes pins for skirt hangars. Mrs. John Lavoy is in charge of this booth. The baked goods will have all kinds of home-made goodies, such as pies, cakes, candies, brownies and cookies. Taking charge of this booth will be Mrs. John H. Zittere and Mrs. Edward Artnak. Mrs. Gerald Wade will have a booth featuring numerous fall flow er arrangements, potted plants and attractive decorations for inside and outside the house at Christ mas. Bruce Sloop, church organist, and Miss Meribeth Bunch of Goldsboro, soloist. Prior to the ceremony Miss Bunch sang Wedding Prayer by Dunlop and as a benediction she sang O Perfect Love by Barnby. The church was decorated with white chrysanthemums, white glad iolas and Southern magnolia used in twin arrangements flanking the baptistry, against a background of greenery and candles. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of candlelight silk dupioni designed along semi-princess lines. Shirred insets created a torso bodice fea turing a portrait neckline and bracelet length sleeves. The bouf fant skirt extended into a chapel train. Her veil of silk illusion was at tached to a cap of aiencon lace with seed pearl trim and she car ried a semi-cascade bouquet of tuberoses, white mums and butter fly roses with accents of green and white Hawaiian foliage. Miss Suzanne Edgerton of Golds boro was maid of honor. Mrs. Wil liam Elliott III was matron of honor. They wore matching dresses of forest green parchment satin with velvet trim, and small velvet hats with short veils. They carried bouquets of light bronze chrysanthemums, miniature ivy and chartreuse lance-leaf cala dium leaves. Miss Mildred King was flower girl and Master Walter Will King Jr. was ring bearer. George Larry McCabe of Bran ford, Conn., brother of the bride groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Richard Freeman Griswold Jr., William Hawley Jr., Linwood Harrcll, George Jeffreys and Wil liam Elliott III, brother of the bride. Mrs. Chreston Holoman, cousin of the bride, wore a dress of fig ured taffeta with matching hat. Mrs. McCabe, mother of the bride groom, wore a pink lace dress with matching feather hat. They both wore corsages of cymbidium or chids. The bride's father entertained at a reception at the Goldsboro Coun try Club immediately following the ceremony. White fall flowers and foliage were used throughout the ballroom. The mantels held arrangements of large white chrysanthemums and silver candelabra. The bride's table, centered with the wedding cake, was decorated with green house smilax, white daisies and tuberoses. The refreshment table was centered with a tiered ar rangement of fuji mums, snap dragons and chrysanthemums. Friends receiving with Mr. El liott were Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Jeffcrys, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Grey Herring, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. San born, Mr. and Mrs. Lamont L. Ed gerton, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ed gerton, and Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Pate Sr. For a wedding trip north the bride wore a moss green suit with mink trim, matching feather hat and brown accessories. She wore a corsage of gold cymbidium or chids. The couple will make their home in Norfolk, V?., where Mr.' Mc Cabe, who attended Morehead City High School, is stationed with the US Navy. Miss Anne Merrill of Arlington, Vs., is maid of honor. There will be a weekend of fes tivities in the spring with a dance when the court will be presented and the queen crowned. Miss Richardson, a graduate of Morehead City High School, is a senior. The maid of honor is a Junior. Revival Services Begin At Harkers Island Church Revival services began at the Free Grace Pilgrim Holiness Church on Harkers Island, Friday night and will continue through Sunday. The Rev. J. M.
