Cub Scout Den Will Fix A Thanksgiving Bosket Den 4 of park 367, Beaufort, had Its weekly den meeting at the home of our den mother, Mrs. Ed mond Nelson, last week. John Chadwiek served refreshments to the six cubs, den chief, and four visitors. We opened with the grand salute, den yell and flag ceremony. After the roll call and dues were col lected, our den chief tailed our attention to newspaper clippings of pack meetings and den meet ings posted on our bulletin board. Work was continued on our den doodle. We plan to fix a Thanks giving basket for a shut-in. Atsa we were asked to start bringing new or good used toys for Christ mas gifts, to be given to the fin men. Cubs who had not finished paint ing their paper weights continued to work on them and those who had finished worked on elective 16 in the Bear Book. We made a den flower bed with tulips, hya cinths and King Alfred bulbs, using the dibble (hole-digger) our den chief had made. We closed with the living circle. U you didn't see Calvin Jones and Butch Massed modeling you really missed something. All leading aside, they did very well and the show was a great suctesa. The program, under the capable direction of Mrs. Ilassell, was one of the best. Singing, acting, danc ing, as well as the fashions were enjoyed by everyone. rhe home ec girls candied ap ples that were sold at the country store during the musical show and also during school hours Friday.
