Our walls were painted a beauti ful shade of lemon and brown. The floors were cleaned and waxed and all around us was quite beautiful. We wish to thank the board of education for thinking of us in such a nice way. We have enjoyed making Christmas greetings and decorations for our classroom. In language Arts we wrote let ters and Christmas poems. Here's one we would like to pass oa to you. The Christmas Angel Once 1 saw a Christmas angel Peeping from the heavenly realms I saw it every night I slept I saw how it was kept. The Christmas angel I saw at night Was always in the brightest light. The angel I saw was sweet and kind, She helped me to do the things I mind. ?Cheryl Turner, Grade 4C Grades S and ( are now decorat ing the Christmas tree with decora tions that were mado Wednesday and Thursday of last week. We were very happy that James Crooms got our tree for us this morning. We have our creative work in the front of our classroom. Each person was given the opportunity to express his idea of Christmas on paper. Our creative work Is followed by pictures that repre sent Our Christmas Wish on an adjoining bulletin board space. These pictures wish every one a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. To the rear of the rooms we have expressed our ideas through many illustrations, namely: The Christmas Story, The carolers sing ing Silent Night, Social Studies? The Jamestown Story; Reading Illustrating Dr. Doolittles' Book by Hugh Lofting; Arithmetic, Lay that Pencil Down and Language, Where Do I Belong? Our windows say, "Merry Christ mas" in the snow. ?Grades 5 and 6 We are now approaching the Yuletide Season, which is the cele bration of the Birth of Christ. It is indeed the greatest birthday of ail times. With this in mind, we really have the Christmas Spirit. When we returned to school from our Thanksgiving holiday, we be gan talking about Christmas and its meaning. During our morning devotionals we are reading stories and Bible verses about the birth of Christ We are alio singing Christmas Carols and telling stories from pictures. We are thankful to Mrs. M. 0. Davis for her guidance during our activities. Our Christmas decoration con sists of a scene of the manger, palm trees, camels, candles, bells, Santa, the sleigh and reindeer and many other items. ?Grade 6B The *- 15c Fres^vCeJery 2 25c Fresh Tongerines o? ? 35c Firm Lettuce 2 29c 8 fc49c SSrK^S Y*23c Florida, Freeh - HeMey Meed ORANGES ?? 55?
