Willis of 1900 Bridge* St., More hud Ctty, has been assigned to Company C, 17th Specialist Bat talion, 4th Training Regiment hero, for advanced specialist training ia the Intermediate Speed Radio Op erator's Course. WMIe a student at the school, ho will be taught tree at the inter national morse code, transmitting and receiving at a speed of 18 groups per minute. During the 12 week course, he will also learn the different types of radio sets used by the infantry regiment, how to set up and operate each, proper radio procedure, and basic siganl communications. Upon graduation, he will be as signed to a unit either in the con tinental United States, or overaeas. Western Pacific ? Navy Chief Warrant Officer William F. Lewis of Smyrna and husband of the for mer Miss Mildred L. Morton of Stockton, Calif., is serving aboard the general stores issue ship USS Castor operating with the Seventh Fleet in the Western Pacific. The Castor, a floating depot, carries all types of material re quired by the complex ships of today's fleet. The graduation exercises, mark ing the end of nine weeks of "boot camp", included a full dress pa rade nnd review before military Officials and civilian dignitaries.
