The Democratic Convention of April 19, 1952, will have the right to select the next Board of Education of Yancey County. I take this opportun ity to urge upon the Conven tion to select men whose ten ure in office will not be in violation of the Constitution and Laws of North Carolina and who will have the inter est of the people of the entire county at heart and riot be do minated by a small selfish group. I was born and reared in the rural sections o f Yancey County. I know from personal experience the life of the far mers and laborers of Yancey County. For the past 17 years I have lived from my practice of law for the farmers and laborers of Yancey County. I have never represented a cor poration or insurance com pany and have no intention of doing so. If elected at the close of the next General As sembly of North Carolina I expect to return and resume my work in my profession in this County. I will appreciate the sup port of all honest- Democrats in the coming Democratic Convention of Yancey County.
