MEN S CLUB HEARS PROGRAM ON FIRE DEPARTMENT Burnsville Men's Club held its regular meeting at the Community Building Monday night with the program being presented by Burns ville Fire Department. Fire Chief Robert Hilliard led a panel discussion on the history and operation of the Burnsville department. Oth er members of the panel in cluded Paul Biggerstaff, Kenneth Robertson, and Harold Butner. Rev. Woodward Finley re ported that a balance of $600.00 was still outstand ing on lights installed on the Burnsville Elementary School bail field last sum mer. Members of the club assumed the project of light ing the field for the softball games played at night. Due to well lighted fields in the county, approximately thirty softball clubs were formed. To help in defraying the outstanding expense, the club voted to ask for dona tions. Each dollar donation would entitle the giver to a chance on winning a doss ed Swift Premium beet.
