Headstart Meetings Held In County By: Shirley Anne McAUis'-er Meetings to plan for the Headstart Program for 1966- 67 have been held at all schools in the county during the past two weeks. School committees were set up at each meeting, also two w-men to serve on the County-wide Heads'art Committee. A County-wide meeting was held .at the Oak Crest School Building on December 12. There was a verv good turn out and the following will serve on the Yancey County Headstart Committee: Officers are: Mary Sue Pallev, Chairman: CnTt>l Weeks, Vice-Chairman; Fthel F'gajns, Secretary: Mary Parter. As.sts'-ant Secretary. Other committee members are: Lula Miller, Ruth Ad kins. Cartle Pa*e. KHa Jean Geouee, Nell Huskins. Sally Thomas. Bazaar At Spruce Pine A Christmas Crafts Bazaar, similar to the one held in Burnsvire last week, will be held at Harris Elementary School gym In Spruce Pine Decfinber 16 and 17 from 9:r0-5:00 p. m.
