Lewis, Barthel Vows Spoken Wedding vows were exchanged cn July 2)th. between Miss Judy Angaleen Lewis and Thomas Hanley Barthel at Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensboro, N C. The Rev. Charles B. McLau ghlin officiated at the 2:30 p. m. ceremony. Guests were the immediate members of the bride’s family and close friends of the couple. The bride wore a white all over embroidery street length sheath dress and a white shoul der length Mantilla. She carried a Fingle’ white rose. Miss Dail Barber of Beaufort, N. C. was the bride’s only attendant. She were a beige sheath dress with matching Mantilla and carried a yellow rose. Mr. Mike Cowhig was best man. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac R. Lewis of 144 Milford Drive, Salisbury. She is a 1964 graduate of Boy den High School and has com pleted her junior year at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro. The bridegroom is the sen of Mr. and Mrs. Henry J. Barthel of Brooklyn and Farmingdale, N. Y. He attended the Univer sity of Notre Dame and Univer sity of Mass. He will receive a Master’s degree from the Uni versity of North Carolina at Greensboro in June. Following the ceremony par ents of the bride gave a recep tion at the temporary residence of the bride for members of the wedding party and friends of the couple. Miss Joan Lewis, sister of the bride. Miss Rhea Hicks of Raleieh and Miss Penny Martin of Hickory assisted with the serving. Miss Lewis is the granddau ghter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wade Honeycutt of RFD 1, Bur nsville and the late Mr. Luther Lewis and Mrs. Nora Lewis Devton of Green Mountain. The couple will live at 933 Walker Ave., Greensboro. ~ Y.C.I. Reunion The annual reunion of former teachers and students of Y. C. L will be held in Burnsville Ele mentary School building on August 12th. Registration will be held at 10:00 &. m„ and the program at 11:00 a. m. All former teachers, students and friends of Y.C.I. are invited to bring a picnic lunch and at tend the reunion.
