Camp Easter To Begin

Member, announces that Camp
Easter-in-the-Pines is now ac
cepting camper applications.
In 1970 Camp Easter provided
camping experiences to over
260 individuals throughout the
state. The 70-acre campsite,
located in Southern Pines serves
handicapped persons in wheel
chairs, with braces and crutches
and various other physical dis
abilities and limitations.
A new addition to the spe
cially designed facilities is a
75-foot-long swimming pool
with ramps, handrails and
other features to accommodate
even the most severely invol
ved campers. The activities
at Camp are planned adapted
to meet the needs of the hand
icapped and goals of the prog
ram include social as well as
physical growth.
Camp staff of young men
and women, mostly from
health related field of study
in colleges and universities,
serve the 64 who can be en
rolled each session.
