The bridesmaids were Miss Marsha Banner and Miss Parsy Hughes of Burnsville, N.C,; Miss Pamela Gardner of Rock ville, Md., and Miss Regina Lafevers, Pennington Gap, Va. Junior bridesmaids were Miss Beth Bailey and Miss Marie Hunter of Burnsville, Miss Martha Slonaker of John son City, and Miss Deborah Gardner of Rockville, Mary land. They wore dresses of a lighter shade of turquoise, si milar to the maid of honor's with matching headpieces and yellow rose. The flower girls,Miss Ni cole Ray and Miss Denise Kil patrick of Charlotte, N.C., wore matching dresses to the maid of honor and carried white baskets of rose petals. Sean Weakland of Green Mountain was ring-bearer. Mr. Stephen Smith of Frank lin, Ky., served as best man. Ushers were Mr. Dennis Pate and Mr. Gary Pate, brothers of the bride, and Mr. Michael Dunn, Mr. Stephen Ellis, Mr. Dick Downey and Mr. Jimmy Young of Franklin, Ky., and Mr. Karnes Palmer of Wash - ington Court House, Ohio. The bride's mother wore a dress of powder blue magnum with yolk and sleeves of aler at Mrs. James Emmett Ashlock, Jr. con lace and a corsage of yel low roses. The mother of the groom wore a princess line dress of pink magnum with long full sleeves and collar of silk or ganza with a beaded yolk. She wore a white orchid corsage. The bride's parents enter tained with a reception in the fellowship hall of the church following the ceremony. The couple will live in Williamsburg, Ky., where they will continue their stud ies at Cumberland College. Rehearsal Dinner was held Friday night before the cere mony. Mr. and Mrs. James Emmett Ashlock, Sr., parents of the groom, entertained at the Nu-Wiay Inn and members of the Pate-Ashlock wedding party and out-of-town guests were present. Sixty guests at tended. Mr. Frank House of Bowl - ing Green, Ky., uncle of the groom, entertained 30 guests at a bachelor's breakfast in honor of his nephew at Nu- Wray Inn on Satuiday morning, June sth.
