The bride-elect, after having graduated from Eastyhn ceyHigh School, is presently attending Mayland Technical institute in Spruce Pine. The future bridegroom has just re cently been discharged from tin United States Marines, after having served for two years, part of which time was spent in Vietnam. He is presently em ployed by the Henredon Com pany in Spruce Pine. A February wedding planned. Kindergarten Visits Santa Clearmont Elementary School Title I ESEA Kindergar ten went to Tunnel Road Mall to visit with Santa Claus 1a st Monday, December 18. They rode the escalators, toured the Pet Shop and Mason's Toy De - apartment and then ate lunch at McDonalds. Fifteen of the twenty-two class members v\ent on the trip, including: Tammy Woody, Scott Jones, Bobby Ren fro, Douglas Tipton, David Sil vers, Amber Bennett, Angela Bryant, Susan Silvers, Patricia Dellinger, Kenny Joe Freeman, Alvin Ayers, Chris Higgins, Mike Silvers, Kenneth Miller, Denita Bryant; teacher aide, Mrs. Patricia Pate, and teach er, Mrs. Lucy Wilson. They were married on December 23,1904 at Cane River, N. C. Mrs. Riddle was the former Mary Lucinda Wil son. Mr. Riddle has been a prominent lumberman and farmer for many years. The Riddles have eight surviving children: Mrs. Sadie Furr of Salisbury,N.C,, Mrs. Frances Brinkley of Asheville, Charles of Roanoke, Va., Horace of Jacksonville, Fla., Vyron of Rivervicw.Mich. , John Hubert of Garden City, Mich, Ben W. Riddle of Rt. 2, Burnsville and Sun Valley Rest Home, and Irene Hullett of Burnsville. Deceased are Vaughtie Ray of Rock Hill,S.C. and Oscar of Dearborn, Michigan. Mrs. Ralph Jacks, presi - dent, presided over the business session. Reports were heard from various committees. The Newsletter from the Dist r i ct President, Mrs. E. L. Briggs, was read. Mrs. Frank Muratore was voted into the club as a new member and Mrs. Fred Ba con was reinstated to member - ship. The president requested everyone to bring suggestions for worthwhile projects to the January meeting. Mrs. Joe Young was prog ram leader for the evening,her subject being The Meaning Os Christmas.
