He was a retired wholesale distributor, the son of Theo dore J. Wilson and the late Julia Mae Ray Wilson. In addition to the father, he is survived by a brother, Benjamin Wilson of Pensa cola. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Laurel Branch Baptist Church at Pensacola. Rev Ben Lee Ray and Rev. Arnold Wilson officiated and burial was in the family cemetery. MARY HANEY Mrs. Mary Haney, 79, of the Elk Shoal Community died Saturday night in a Burnsville hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Madison County and had been living in Yancey County for the past 63 years. Surviving are four daugh ters, Mrs. Gus Ledford, Mrs. Troy King and Mrs. Rc.n Huskins of Burnsville Route 4, and Mrs. S.C. James of Lexington, N.C.; one brother, Coleman Gregory of Burns ville; 25 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive. Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Elk Shoal Union Church of which she was a member. Revs. Lloyd Ponder and Burgess Shelton officiated and burial was in the Fender Cemetery. CLYDE TAYLOR Clyde C. Taylor, 80, of the Swiss Community of Yancey County died Saturday night in an Asheville hospital after a short illness. A native and lifelong resident of Yancey County, he was a retired farmer. Surviving are one son, Reggie Taylor of Burnsville; four sisters, Mrs. Roy Buck ner and Mrs. Hattie Ferguson of Burnsville, Mrs. John Hylemon of Cowpens, S.C. and Mrs. Alvin Thompson of Travelers Rest, S.C.; three brothers, Hasket Taylor of Asheville, Richard Taylor of Marion and Floyd Taylor of Dallas, Texas; one grandson and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Rev. Howard Buchanan offi ciated and burial was in the church cemetery.
