Ayers Art Work Display Sunday At Albert’s Original oil paintings, nearly 200 of them, will be displayed at an open house at All^rt’s Restaurant this coming Sunday, November 16, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The paintings, purchased in 1966-67 from the Academy of Art in Munich, Germany, are by former students of the academy. Some of the artists have become well known in the more than a decade since these oils were painted, and now command large sums of money for their work. The paintings are for sale to interested persons, but Albert Badschild, who brought the oils with him when he moved from Munich to the United States last year and opened a Bavarian Restaurant here, wants everyone interested in art to come view the paintings whether they wish to buy one or not. “Some of them are very special, very striking views of street scenes in Paris and Germany,” he sa'id. “Some are landscapes in Bavaria or elsewhere. Some are still lifes of flowers. There is such variety that everyone will see someUiing to please their taste in art.” To make the event a special one, Albert will serve homemade apfelstrudel and coffee at the Open House/Art Show. The paintings, which are too many to hang in dividually wiU be arranged throughout the restaurant so that guests can view and enjoy them at their leisure while sampling this delicious Ger man dessert which is a specialty at Albert’s. Everyone is invited to come Sunday afternoon and enjoy a unique outing-and perhaps get a head start on Christmas gift-giving for a very special person. LANDSCAPES, street scenes and still lifes painted a decade ago by students at the Academy of Art in Munich, Germany, will be on display , (and for sale) Sunday afternoon.at an Open House/Art Show at Albert’s Restaurant (Hwy. 80S adjacent to Mt.Mitchell Golf Course). Some people are looking up to God, some haven’t the time, and some are worshipping their church before their God. Some people are being selfish and it makes me wonder how many folks today have a spirit of brotherly love. I believe that God loves all brothers and sistere equally, it makes no difference whether they are black or white. I love everybody. I wonder how many people can say that and mean it from their heart. People today need to become more prayerful and loving, and try to be kinder to their neighbors without carrying a chip on their shoulders and being so bossy in the churches. We have so many ruling our churches today that it makes some of us afraid to speak up so we sit back and let the devil will our chur ches. God said, “You shall know the truth and it shall set you free.” I wonder bow many are going to be free when our God comes. I hope this little letter will touch someone’s heart.
