the home of Mrs. Lawrence
Winfrey.
A color scheme of yellow
and green was carried out
in floral arrangements and
refreshments.

A demonstration on Built

Thetma Wheeler, Home
economics agent.
Plans were made for a
workshop on candlemaking
to be held November 8 at the
Baptist Church basement,
beginning at 9 a.m. with noon
pot-luck dinner. Mrs. Luke
Ellis and Mrs. Carl West will
be in charge.
Mrs. Howard Whitehouse
and Mrs. Elsie Gill were
welcomed as new members.

bingo. Approximately 25 cakes
and several pies were sold in
cake walks.

station WKRK was master of
ceremony. In the auditorium,
music was furnished by Doyle
Barker, Jerry Tho mason,
Billy Ledford and Mrs. Dock
Sudderth. The prize for bingo
consisted of such items as an
electric iron, electric heater,
clothing, house paint, a
beautiful white marble table
top, seat covers, a table lamp,
revere cook ware, cosmetics,
etc.

employees of The Cherokee Scout and members of their
families.
Just read the advertisements on this page. A game will
be found in each ad. Circle with a pencil your choice of the
winner of each game. It is not necessary to guess the score
of the different games in die ads, only the winning team.
However, do not fall to guess the score of the game listed
below marked "Tie-breaker". This will be used in determining
winners only in case of an unbreakable tie.
Winners will be based on the entries having the most winners
picked, DECISION OF THE JUDGES WILL BE FINAL. Contest
judges will be members of the staff of The Scout.
