Reverend Johnson became the first Superintendent of Missions of the North Carolina synod on October 1. He main tains an office in the new synodical headquarters build ing 1c Salisbury but resides In Kannapolis where he previously served as pastor of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. The duties of the Super intendent inculdes finding new mission fields, assisting in the development of Mission Congregations and promoting financial support of the Mission program within the synod. Mrs. Archie Myers Hoaored With Storh Shower Andrews ? Mrs. Verda Elliott and Mrs. C. F. Myers were hostesses on Tuesday night, honoring Mrs. Archie Myers with a Stork Shower at the home of Mrs. Lawrence Winfrey. A color scheme of yellow and green was carried out in floral arrangements and refreshments. Approximately thirty guests attended. Club Meeting Held Wednesday Andrews -- The Valleytown Home Demonstration Club met Wednesday afternoon at 2p.m. at the home of Mrs. E. U. Burch. A demonstration on Built in Storage was given by Thetma Wheeler, Home economics agent. Plans were made for a workshop on candlemaking to be held November 8 at the Baptist Church basement, beginning at 9 a.m. with noon pot-luck dinner.
