Camp Ney-A-Tl, located on toe banks of die Tennessee River, soma an miles north of Gunarsville offers the camper a full camping and re creadonal program. The boys will enjoy every kind of wear sport Including boating, swim ming. and fishing. Ths camp toatures Softball, basketball, auffie board, ping-pong, mlna ture goU. and archery. Hiking aid physical fitness are also s pan of the two week's pro gram. Every night a full length movie is shown at the out floor theaar. Ths campers comefromal most every sua In ths south east. The camp day starts early by the lake. A sal urn to the flag opens the day's activities. From sunrise a sunset, the camper's day Is full of activity. Ten boys from Cherokee Coimty and nine from Clay County will return from Camp Ney-A-Tl this Sunday. Catholics To Build Church At Andrews Andrews - The ground - breaking ceremony for a Catholic Church in Andrews was held Sunday. July IS, 1962 at 12:30 pjn. The pastor. Patter Raymond Dehen. in voted the following blessing at the ceremony, "O God, from whom everything good takes la origin and receives la steady and full growth, grant, we beseech Thee, that what we are starting to build for the glory of Thy Name may, by the ever present aid of Thy fatherly wisdom, be brought a completion Through Christ our Lord. Amen." The church a be called Holy Redeemer Church, Is being made possible through gifts of several generous donors. It Is being built on Awuone Road?east of the Joe Bl-Khourl residence. ANDREWS PERSONALS LUCY LAUGHTER, STAFF CORRESPONDENT Richard Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jones received bums from gasoline explosion on Thursday at a workshop back of his home. He had started a fire when the ex plosion occurred. He was taken to Rodda-Van Gorder Clinic and later entered Dis trict Memorial Hospital. He was dismissed from the hospital on Tuesday and his condition was listed as satis factory. ? ? ? Mr. and Mrs. E. G, Free man, children, Eulis,Jr.,Gall and Nancy of Georgetown, S.C. are spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. Will Lemlng, and other relatives. ? ? ? Charles Pickens, manager of Andrews Auto Parts was the winner of R. C. A. Tele vision and antenna given by Civil Air Patrol on Saturday night. Chances were sold by mem bers for this money raising project. The proceeds will go for needed equipment. ? ? ? Sp4 and Mrs. Dwain Winfrey and children, Debbie, Jimmy and Kim are spending a month CAR LEAVES ROAD, TEN ARB HURT - Ten persons - four children, four young women, ?id two Roman Catholic nuns were injured Friday, July 13, when the station wagon they were occtvplng ran off U, S. 64 and tumbled down a 100-foot embankment two miles east of Murphy, The most seriously Injured was Sister Marian who was admitted to a local hospital suf fering a broken neck. The other nun. Sister Helen Marie, was dismissed from the hospital. The others apparently suffered only bruises and abrasions. Trooper Don Re?vis said, but were admitted for observation. Other injured were Robert Lee Hughes, 13, his sister, Ruth, 11, and his brother Bruce, 9, of Route 1, Murphy; and Jeannle Dalley , 10, of Hayesville. The other passengers in the car were summer volunteers from northern cities. The station wagon, which overturned several times, is shown above.
